Just level it up daily with Battletoad, 2 levels a day sooner or later it'll outlevel you no problem. So whats an ethereal rapier good for?

So I have for the first time a spare ability point I don't know what to do with.
I consider Lifestream only useful when playing on higher difficulties against legendaries or gods. hos is the spell calcutta, does anyone know?
does divine rating give a bonus on cure like divine EDB does?

Yes, and never forget Infusion of Divinity. You must keep it active all the way.

I'm hoping to raise my Deprecating Proficiency so I can make any encounters I have with bosses in the arena or the Item World a bit shorter and easier by raising Poison's damage and duration. What would be a better way to raise it: Crude Item World or Grindfest under Cake setting?

Grindfest would give me credits (although likely tiny amounts), but would drain my stamina faster (or did I misunderstand what Tenboro meant by that?), while Item World wouldn't give me any credits, but I'd get more rounds in for my Stamina, right? (Not interested in using Drinks, so I usually just play till I have 80 Stamina)

Just spam weaken on the same mob over n over and burn through mana potions if you want to level it up fast. Leave the fight when you're outta mana potions and do it all over again.

raising deprecating prof is costly, since it's not used so much like elemental prof, supportive or cure.
just use up all your mana before arena ends, keep an weak monster alive so you don't waste too much mana on keeping yourself alive.
item quality and difficulty does not influence prof gaining, but on cake with flimsy/crude you will not waste so much mana on cure/regen.

look how much credits you gain per 20 used stamina, if it's more than an energy drink costs than you're on the good side. if not, look if you can do more with a higher difficulty level.
somewhere varst wrote about it, IIRC he said hard works for him better than heroic grindfest, but that's been awhile and I don't know if it was before or after the recent patch.

My deprecating proficiency is higher then both my curative and supportive. All depends on how you play. If you do runs that requires deprecating it'll level up just as fast or faster then curative/supportive. If you stick to easier difficulties like normal-hard etc deprecating won't get leveled up cause theres no need for it. I run IWBTH for EXP so I spam a lot of deprecating.

I'm not looking to raise it to high amounts in a short amount of time. It's more of a "Hey I can use this leftover stamina from the arena to do this instead of getting more EXP". I can barely last 50 rounds on Grindfest on Normal last time I tried (which was probably under level 100), so Hard probably isn't going to be an option for me. My question about which one is better is more along the lines of "In what instance do they do less damage to me so I can spend less MP healing?", since I know difficulty and weapon quality doesn't affect proficiency gain.

Then my best advice to you is do what I do, do runs in IWBTH, grindfest/IW/Arena don't matter just make sure it's IWBTH. For me I NEED to use deprecating a lot, however if you're capable of IWBTH the xp gain is really nice at our level. I think I went from 121-130 within 24 hrs.

weaken is ok, especially for deprecating prof because it's the cheapest spell.

I keep EVERY mob either weakened or silenced depending on what mob it is. I poison everything too just to speed up the killing. DPS them down after that and just keep the weaken/silence or bewilder on the mob. I was once 1shotted from full HP by a spell crit off a monster. So make sure you pay attention and know what monsters will cast elemental spells (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif).

It's really fast exp if you can do it, I mean when i first did it, 2 runs usually got me a level. A run lasted about 7-10rounds, so getting a level from doing 14-20 rounds is really nice. My deprecating, curative, supportive are all about equal levels.

Why using Banish instead of Smite? Isn't they've got the same dmg when there is only 1 mob?

Putting AP into an AoE spell increases its damage, up to 25% when maxed.

+50% on a single target

I have a few question i want to ask.

1.As a DW melee what stat do i need to rise?
2.What spell do i need to learn/is useful?
3.Can i have some advice/tips on the strategy during grindfest?
4.What diffculty level is better?( a vague question but what i am trying to ask is a diffculty that drop good stuff but is not ridiculously hard....if it exist (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) )

1. Endurance needs to be at or near your level.
2. Get the supportive spells: Shield, Shadow Veil, Haste. Shield is probably the most important, it blocks quite a bit of damage so you don't have to keep casting curative spells all the time; since you're DW you have to kill each monster one at a time, which takes a lot of turns. Deprecating spells are also good: Weaken and Poison are musts for bosses and legendaries. When you gain some more levels, Bewilder and Regen are also good spells to get.
3. I dunno, don't die? Just keep going until you run out of mana pots.
4. Depends... if you want to gain levels as quickly as possible, do as high as you can. If you want to grind proficiencies, use lower levels.
