Its true. And also its harder, because its imperil-attack switch with slightly random targeting. Usually its 1-6-else, but it can be different. Actually somehow top mages clears full pffest. Latestage of fest in 4+ times harder than arena and its constant 8 monsters instead 3+. So it can be not so glass. But sure 1h is very safe and easy even without forge. Mage is the way for ppl who wanna clear faster. Pffest is good example, because they doing it in ~1hour.

Actually melee is still competitive, but only for 4t/s people
If I have 4t/s gf will be a little more than 1.5hr and its still good for lazy play.

QUOTE(Void Domain @ Oct 29 2015, 06:30) *

What browser are you using now? Any before/after data?

Ok, there's a bit of a story behind my switch.
I usually play HV con 2 different PCs, home desktop and work laptop (mainly RE during breaks, unit tests, compiling code etc etc).
At home I have ~50ms to HV, at work <20ms.

The speed difference was enormous, more than a simple 30ms ping could explain.
Browser used was the same, Firefox, the only difference was that Firefox is my main browser at home (profile folder is enormous and I have many extensions installed) while Chrome is my main browser at work (sounds stupid, but you cannot do any real web development on Firefox, even Firebug just doesn't cut it).
I then decided to install the portable 64bit versions of Firefox (cyberfox, waterfox and pale moon), add just greasemonkey + scripts and see if the speed changes.
It changed.
I didn't do many tests yesterday, but I'm pretty sure the gain was >20% between my main (cluttered) Firefox and a fresh 64bit fork.

This evening I will benchmark all the browsers installed and see which one gives me the best t/s.
I would also love to test SRWare Iron, but current versions flicker (they are based on Chrome after all) and I don't know how to get an old one.

'only' for a Legendary. it's still in the lower half of the L range. but obviously, whining is a sport:
you drop a Mag? why it's not a Leg? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)
you drop a Leg? why doesn't it have perfect stats? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

personally i'd be quite happy to have such a 'low' ADB - it would mean a +100 ADB boost

QUOTE(Sapo84 @ Oct 29 2015, 15:41) *
-snip-

I have had similar experiences. Using a different browser with no extra extensions makes bigger difference in clear times than any equipment upgrades I have had. Even if I could cut my turns in half with amazing equipment, that won't make as big difference as 4-5x increase in turns/s. Of course it does not help with restoratives consumption and many other things, but in clearing speed it makes a big difference. I don't want to use my main Firefox browser even for REs anymore, the lag is annoying me. As I mentioned before though, ping can be the limiting factor for many players. However, even with higher ping the responsiveness of a faster browser might improve the experience.

At the moment I'm running HV on Pale Moon with Greasemonkey for essential scripts and Stylish for dark theme. Ping is about 30ms. I could try to measure the t/s if someone tells me an easy way to do it. I'll be interested to hear your benchmark results too.

Its true, thats why I only have greasemonkey and stylish in my firefox.

I have tried all cyberfox waterfox and pale moon btw waterfox and pale moon are slow on update or sometimes plan outdated, some claim cyberfox is faster to me they are just the same when playing hv. Just like the iron vs chrome I don't see any difference.

I think the normal way is to use some stats scripts.
For a less intrusive method you can do the following.

Set up hoverplay/similar scripts to block when spell duration expires (should be the default).
Cast regen and write down the number of rounds it will last.
Start a stopwatch (you can use websites like [stopwatch.onlineclock.net] this) and at the same time start playing.
When regen ends stop the stopwatch and do the math.

Not the most precise method but it requires no external scripts.
