No, silence is for melees. Use spark+weaken+poison to face bosses.
It's because bosses can crit you when silence is on, and you don't want to be dead.
And remember, weaken decrease boss's normal attack by 50%.
So if you receive 300 damage from boss now, you're expected to see 1200 damage when crit by boss without weaken.

And at your level, it's better to use potions than to ET for mana.

Okay, Ty Varst. A question about playing on Cake in Itemworld for items. Only difference between a crude and higher quality item would be difficulty/xp/quality right? So if I was running cake on itemworld in search of items like artifacts and token of blood its better if I just did it with a crude item?

I actually type the wrong number of stamina. It should be 0.05 stamina per round of grindfest in normal status, and 0.1 stamina per round in great status.
There's a balance between difficulty and stamina used. When you play IW with better equipments, you get items/equipments with better quality and can sell for more credits. And you can always escape/re-enter when you run out of items.
I will choose better items, but that's my opinion only.

Weaken/bewilder and silence cannot be cast at the same time, so you have to choose weaken+bewilder or silence alone. And when you have spark of life you simply just let the boss hit you with magical attack and use spirit potion to replenish your spirit.

Um...there's no definite level to use ET to gain mana, but at your level you can just purchase some godly mana instead of ET. At your level most of the staffs will have only 1 ET turn, so it should be better once you get to lv.160 and have 2 ET turn staffs.
i don't have that much experience on ET, since I use them only when facing god/schoolgirl marathon. And yea, that's wasteful way to use those potions.

About leveling scaling, I can't seem to figure out how to tell when my 5(3) duration proc will be 5(4), or is there no way to tell? Maybe I'll just ask people slightly higher level then me and see if any of them are 5(4) lol

In my case, besides the 1 hath a day w/my gold star, I also get some running H@H, and I've been a patient lad, not selling it, buying when I can pick them up for a bargain price, generally using the gold I've gotten from H@H.

It'd be a lot harder - but uploading galleries(I've only uploaded 1) can get you gold, which can be used to buy hath, or converted to credits, which can also be used to buy hath. Fulfilling bounties can be a quick way, if you can do it. I've tried a couple times, it's not my talent.

Other ways to earn gold include seeding torrents, and if you can't run H&H, you can buy a server slot.

Can anybody who actually has the white/black/rainbow auras let me know how much they actually affect things?

I believe it only increases armor physical absorption and mitigation, don't recall it ever increasing shield rating.

when there is more than one Boss(Rare)/Legendary/Gods/etc in the same round, should I just "confuse" instead of sleep so they will hit another boss (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

This will be a great help since they are powered isn't it! but will they impervious from confuse?

Confuse and sleep are useless when you reach those arenas with two bosses. Well, that's my opinion.
I just cast weaken and nerf on those bosses, then cast AOE until they're dead.
Should also use poison, I'm just too lazy.

Grr.. how can u have so many mana for you to cast AOE until they're dead.... they have tons of HP...

Don't try to follow that. You should cast all the nerfing spells you have on those bosses.

Recently hit 50 and I'm starting to feel the difficulty spike...i think...or I just suck... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Any advice for me on my current build? I'm still aiming to be a Melee/Nuking Battlecaster, but I just got completely destroyed by Manbearpig in my first attempt at Ring of Blood (there goes my hard earned blood token (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) )

Weaken makes killing bosses so much easier. Poison is nice but not really neccessary.
Don't think its a good idea to be trying a hybrid build at such an early level either, don't have the stats or equipment to support it so you might wanna try to just stick with either melee or mage.

1. Battlecaster is not for newbies. You can give up on that. Stick to either melee or mage and put all your resources into that category.

2. You need weaken and poison to fight boss at your level.

3. Stick to light or heavy for your equipments to get the full-set bonus. Getting some good gears from WTS is prefered as your equipment's not so good.

Thanks for the tips, so as a follow up...

1) Ok...so what would possible builds look like? Like, what would the min amount of INT/WIS I'm putting into a Melee and STR/DEX/AGI in a Mage?

2) I'm going to assume I'm maxing out Weaken/Poison? Or is one point good enough?

3) What sort of equip should I be looking for? I guess I'm more curious as to what my current equip is lacking (got most of it from monster drops)...
