@GonRiv usually it's a good idea to sell the trophies and buy unassigned equips if there any left. ;_; (because unassigned equips you can get exq-magnificent+ compared to stuff you're going to throw away later and the majority of the time you get bad equips from trophies)

Hi again, first, thanks to Superlatanium and jacquelope for the help from the last time.
So anyways, i would like to know what should i ask in the shrine since i recently beat the first Ring of Blood challenge and i got the 2 trophies, but i don't want to waste them (took me more than i thought to get a Token of Blood), so, what should i ask for? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
Always sell trophies unless you have FoS or can afford to lose the equivalent of tens of thousands of credits (or, many many more) and likely get nothing in return.

Any player above 300 can very easily get more than 40 trophies/day, if they have the time. They almost never give anything good, except noodles, but even noodles are unlikely to as well.

For monsters, is it better to choose piercing dmg or crushing dmg?

Would it make a difference if the monster is low level? How about when it eventually becomes high level?

First one is moderately more defensive (slightly better End, better Crushing/Piercing mit, slightly better Pmit) but much worse offensively (7.7 vs 10.2 ADB). I think either would be an upgrade to what you have now. (I don't think Balance is great for 1h because of Overwhelming Strikes - gives a huge boost to accuracy alone. Crit chance is good of course, but worth giving up a different suffix? Depends on situation).

IMO, Piercing is probably the best choice at low level. Leather/shade seems to be more popular than heavy for those <200.

For high level... I don't know. On one hand, 1h/heavy is most popular, and weak to Crushing, but 1h almost never dies anyway, so maybe Piercing would be better against the more vulnerable light/cloth users.

Thanks, hmm...

Is there a monster type that's a good compromise for both trainers and for players?

I mean: trainers want monsters to win battles so that they get more gifts. Players want to clear the round of monsters quickly because time is everything. These aren't wholly at odds, if there's a monster type that maximizes its chance of killing the player, but if it can't do so, dies quickly.

Practically, raising a horde of chaosed giants just makes it miserable for low level players because it makes them even take even longer to clear the round. Is there a monster equivalent of a glass cannon, something that works at low monster PL?

Edit: besides, all trainers are players too.

low-chaosed celestial without SP attack? or low-chaosed sprites? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

on my side, running towards 250 hath. now, a few choices:
  • IA3 - quite useful for DW shade, not-so-much for 1H power
  • VV
  • Enigma Energizer - did someone even try it?

Is that based on their first-tier skill having 50 power?

I've never understood what skill power means or how it works. A Celestial's first skill is physical and has 50 power, but it has low STR. Does that matter? Or, the Celestial can choose physical or magical attack for its second skill, but why would it ever choose physical since it has high INT?

I have the Enigma Energizer and found the longer buff quite useful. I do feel chuffed "wasting" a few of the buffed turns casting Imperil at the start of each round. Maybe it is even better for melee players that are just atk-atk all the way.

Don't think IA3 would be so useful for you. I guess you could imagine having, say, 8 more levels of Juggernaut to estimate how much VV would help?

Nah it's much better for mage since they can clear rounds in less turns than melee.

Just a curiosity: Does that perk gives 20% damage boost? or are the HP/MP the only rewards that are doubled? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

afaik, that skill power is only a rough measurements of the base impact that hit would have on the player: if you read it this way, celestials are quite strong mobs even with the first skill, while giants are absolute jerks. arthropods are quite better

also, as in player's case, STR and DEX boost physical attacks, while INT and WIS boost magical ones. therefore, if you don't plan to use SP attack & your mob to be not-so-dangerous, then choosing both MP skills as physical and boost only STR/DEX may spare you some credits. and besides, who would expect for a celestial to have physical attacks? hmmm... tbh, i really expected for it to be somehow useful, especially since riddlemaster tends to appear on decent basis. now, i only need for a melee to confirm its usefulness (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

just played a couple of days with 1H shade. maybe it was because i forgot Shadow Veil on IA, but it was quite tedious to play - spirit stance was very hard to substain. without Shadow Veil it was a bit better, but still quite far from the mindless 1H power play (which may be read also as powerplay, now that i note it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

Enigma Energizer's definitely a lot better for mage than melee, but I still think it's a trap. Investing in that many hath worth of forge mats will almost certainly give you better results unless everything's very heavily forged already, I would think.

Been looking through the WTS threads and saw sections for "0.82" and "0.81"

What do these mean exactly?
