I need about 5 minutes to finish endgame on nightmare difficulty at normal status.
And I don't even consider myself a powerhouse now, so you can imagine how people farm the arena.

Powerarmor melee, two-handed weapon. What I'm trying to say is that I either have to pop at least one energy drink to clear the full arena day with Great status or I am doing something wrong. And now I dinged 120 so there goes another arena challenge...

Are you fighting RoB for the clear bonus right? If not you should just fight FSM instead, the trophy is much more valuable.

What stats should I focus on if I want to use a sword, shield, and spam attack?

Well if I am getting wiped out by RL I cannot even imagine the damage I'll get vs FSM.

What to do and where to go from here...

Currently my character is a mid level 80's 2h melee fighter. I've barely done any maging since around level 20 apart from the use of cure and a few depreciating and supportive spells. Up until recently I used nothing but heavy armor but I have now built up a shade set and am getting some pleasing results despite my low proficiency. I have also have two autocast slots with Haste and Shadow Veil active.

The questions are:
Should I try switching to maging or has it been nerfed too badly by the latest update?
If I switch to mage, what element is recomended for a phase armor setup?
Is my shade setup likely to benefit me overall if I keep grinding the light armor proficiency?
My next hath perk will be 200 hath - should I get the white aura or should I get a third auto-cast slot?
If I buy the third auto-cast slot and leave it empty, do I still get the extra upkeep bonus (use less MP)?
For a light armor, 2h melee - what should I be focusing my exp points on as the most important stat(s)?
Are there any areas I've not noted I should be looking to improve my equipment setups?

ADDITIONAL NOTE: If anybody has upgrades to any of my setups they are thinking about selling, or has a nice phase set they're thinking of selling - please let me know. I've got a budget of up to 200 hath (1 million credits) or so at the moment for upgrading things, but I appreciate a full phase set (if it''s got perfect stats) will cost much more than that. Find something that's resistant to whichever attack type you use (crushing, slashing, piercing), weaken/nerf it or throw up regen if need be (try not to debuff it as those lower its shield rating) and then wail on it (Hold down "1" or w/e number they are). Repeat as necessary. Rares and Legendaries work well here if you can negate their damage output. Assimilator training is the only other thing that can help speed up your gains.

Monsters for usage of skill need 50% of max mana and damage of skill is calculated from dexterity or inteligence.
-So, for monsters with DEX skill its pointless to rise their INT as it gives nothing, as more max mana with no more mana regen means more time required for filling mana bar?
-Also, as ony thing that wisdom gives is mana regen and more max mana can we say that WIS for monster gives half of the profit as max mana does't matter?
-Does every 25 points of WIS raises monster chance to resist enemy spells by 1%?

My hath would come from the two dedicated servers and three VPS I have running H@H, each at over a megabyte per second (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif). As for the power gear setup, I pieced it together little by little - I think I should trade most of them in for "of slaughter" suffix items though as the attack damage bonus isn't too high on most of them and they're acting more like plate armor. with a lot of the shade I have giving similar attack bonuses as well as a huge evade stat

Yes and yes.


However for Innate Arcana, the chance is proportional to how much your upkeep is, which just means it's going to be a much rarer occurance than manually spamming support spells.

WIS also contributes to Barrier Rating, so it should make your monster take less damage from spells.

AFAIK monsters can't resist spells*. You may have noticed the "resists your spell" message was changed to "Your spell misses its mark", presumably to make that clearer.

* With the exception of the bosses at the end of the new L300 Arena, apparently. But those are a special case.

Yes. Very rarely.

My, ALL of them ^^

Well, I ain't really sure about the most efficient allocation point-wise, but I'm a 1H+shield too, and I find quite useful to maintain base INT and WIS some 5 points higher than STR, DEX and END, while keeping AGI some 2/3 points lower. It may seem odd, but while INT and WIS aren't crucial to a melee fighter as they are to a wizard, they're still needed for Mana points, Barrier rating and the magic accuracy for my Weaken and Bewilder; considering I don a full Heavy armor, the stat bonuses from gear alone (including the END bonus full Heavy gives) grant anyway STR and END much higher than the other stats, and DEX more or less on par with INT and WIS. All in all I find Agility the less useful stat for me, but it's better not to let it fall too much behind to not risk losing too many rounds of fighting due to low Action Speed (mine is already heaviliy reduced by encumbrance).

What techniques do you use to kill the Trio and The Tree?
