For my equipment, what should I keep and what should I sell/salvage? Should I get rid of the Average, Fair, and Crude weapons and armor and keep just the Superior, Exquisite and Specialized?

Salvage only what you absolutely need the materials for yourself, and bazaar most of the rest. Always bazaar rare-tier gear.

The only things you might keep are good Magnificent+ pieces, and even then their value will be quite low due to your level (other players who would buy it would likely only have a tiny bit of funds, unless you get extraordinarily lucky and find something incredible that higher-level players might want).

If you eventually play a decent amount, you may profit some by salvaging and then selling the scrap + mid-grade and higher materials, but you need to grind quite a lot to get enough stuff worth bothering to salvage and find a buyer for.

Should I bazaar trophies as well? What if my current equipment being used is rare-tier.

Never bazaar trophies. Check in the WTB forum for people who are buying these trophies, and sell them to the highest bidder.

You can also choose to shrine them if you're feeling lucky. But inevitably, you will not be lucky. After you've convinced yourself that the rewards for shrining are pretty poor, you can go back to selling them.

Superlatanium's advice is still generally correct even if you need Energy Cells to repair your equipment. Reason being that it's generally more cost-effective to bazaar equipment and use the credits to buy Energy Cells and scrap material, than to salvage the equipment for energy cells. The uncommon exception to this is if you have Average and below rare equipment (eg. Average Phase/Shade/Power) -- these should be salvaged.

But we basically can't buy any equips anymore other than the unequipped remnants or soulfuses which are nigh impossible in a short timeframe because they're dripfed.

At your level of 258, there should be a reasonable amount of stuff level 358 and below. Not a lot, but enough to get by.

Soul fragments just take patience. I'm up to almost 500 and I don't see that number going down much any time soon.

at your level, applying "use & trash" is better along with fusing worthy equipments piece by piece.

is there any way for someone without good/great ping to play as melee effectively?

my ping is not that bad nor its good and ive been using staff because of it,
wonder if i can switch to 2H (so i can still multi-hit enemies) or try counterattacking with 1H+shield.

2h is bad. Mage is perfect with high ping, because low amount of turns.

2h is very ineffective compared to the other styles, especially for low level. The only exception is high level playing on low difficulty, but at that point, might as well play mage instead for more firepower.

A few levels won't make much difference. Maybe he wants to retain the option of selling his equipment. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I see there are people who wants to buy GOLD STARS at WTB with credits. How does that work if I want to sell it to them? I just want to know the exact process in case I want to in the future.

please tell me should you do it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
