Probably not too high, level unbound is nice but the problem is that only the non-rich will buy balance mainhand weapons, and those people are mostly low level. 50-100k maybe? If you can find anyone to buy it at all, that is. This one unfortunately doesn't have great stats to carry it.

I wouldn't be able to tell you definitively because it has been too long. I think the material prefix just denoted the range that the item's initial level fell into. That level was used to determine the item's base stats, and scale the effective stats down should your level be lower.

Btw there wouldn't be any change in the spell name or icon, it just that the spell effect magically stronger, cheaper and hit more monster..

It was this. Just the level range the item was when it dropped (which could later be upgraded in IW.) The prefixes were purely aesthetic too. No associated bonuses. My staff is "Silver-Tipped" because it started at Level 23.

btw, why did certain gear drop with 'tipped', 'adorned', 'trimmed' emendments and others not? was it only a way to make them a bit rarer than the straight counterparts?

Those were just variations for the different equipment classes.

Your equipment will remain relevant... until you gain 30 or 40 levels. Then it'll probably be Superior-equivalent or lower and you'll need to exchange.

Seriously... after 39 levels with the same equipment, I'm dying SO fast. I don't even have a full set of backup phase gear. And now I need to repeat this every 40 levels??? Soon, people will run out of phase gear for us to buy... And we're going to keep being weak.

You won't be able to use mage effectively at low levels in this patch. At level ~200 it takes about 16 levels for an exq grade to degrade to a superior. Without trading, the chance that you will be able to replace the same elemental phase is very low (even with an appropriate leveled superior).

Well, maybe it is the time to realize that it would be a good idea to play something that is more known for its survivability, hoard soul fragments for later on, and change back to mage, after you reach a level high enough to get even leveled equipment and also soulfuse some of them. At least that would make more sense than whine about how weak you are, how fast you die and how fast you outclass your own not soulfuse eqipment.

You don't really need SoL, provided you have a good set. SV is not that necessary either, unless you plan on clearing grindfest. I personally go with protection/haste/SS/SV.

Actually sv can be quite bad. Its totally useless in arena and maybe even in gf.

It has additional mp cost (not so big problem with new pot system)
Evade is before block and parry. And im not sure its rly increase our defense. Why?
Because mob is stunned before he use his mp/sp attack (actually sp shouldnt rly be here in fest, because its not possibly/not worth to clear full with so low damage). They dont have 100% chance to use in in first attack and mostly they do at least few before hit hard. Its like 600, 700, 4000. So yea, we can evade in some cases small and big damage, but evade also means our chance to stun is 25% lower. With quite ordinary set many players has 55%+ chance to do it. Few attacks is enough for stun and its completely full ignoring big damage. Thats very powerful thing and thats why im not sure something like 8% damage reduction (our evade effect with 55 block, 45 parry) rly good with chance stun reduction. And i dont even say it also means lower damage (longer fight and also higher income damage).

my equipment are kind of crappy and my 1H and heavy prof is only 100 so SoL is here to stay for a while longer.
