QUOTE(Ice Cream @ May 22 2015, 18:11) Not worth a fortune, but you might be able to get a little out of them. The EDB is very low. I have some pre-patch exquisites that have higher EDB.

If you had to put a price on them, how much do you think they'd go for?

So with the new changes, are Noodles, Saplings, and Schoolgirls worth much of anything for people who don't have the FoS Hath perk?

I have some pre-patch exquisites that have higher EDB. Are you sure? I'm seeing base EDB of 13.23, which is higher than pre-patch Lmax, if the wiki is accurate. Of course, level is now important... a level 400+ player might not think much of it if they're not going to soulbind, but if player is closer to level ~345, or if the player is going to soulbind regardless of level, I'd think it'd be worth quite a lot. We've been seeing a surprising number of quite good drops, and the patch hasn't even been out for a week. Even if great drops are usually coming from REs instead of arena / clear bonus / grinding, it's making me think drop quality is not in a bad place right now. Maybe it's even too high. With all the L phase at least, maybe current patch Lmax edb won't even be worth 2m after 6 months or a year of drops. QUOTE(teenyman45 @ May 23 2015, 02:54) So with the new changes, are Noodles, Saplings, and Schoolgirls worth much of anything for people who don't have the FoS Hath perk? Noodles are certainly not bad - their market value is much more based on their drop quality than on what they add to FoS. I'm not sure about the others. If someone doesn't already have a pretty good set, it might be worth gambling via shrine - if you're not willing to wait another week or two hoping for luck. Before, they weren't very good for quality drops, but with the supply market much more restricted now, who knows? (Boss-level trophies like MBP tail still usually give average/superior, so SG trophies are probably better for gambling if you're looking for equipment rather than adds to FoS)

QUOTE(nec1986 @ May 23 2015, 00:26) Some drop info (near 180 samples).
Old arena = old fest ---> new fest --> new arena. PF diff.
A 22% -----> 44% ------> 29% S 63% -----> 47% ------> 48% E 12,5% ----> 9,2% -----> 22% M 1,3% -----> 0,1%? ----> 1,2% L 0,25% ----> ??? --------> 1,2%
In old loot system we had some type of minimal edge, average and distribution near it. But now its a bit different. First, probably new fest. I had 44% average loot and 0 fair-crude. Why? Its very-very close. I did hellfest and had 15% fair with 55% average and only 4% exq. Now we have more like exponent. We have very-very sharp start, some very common area and after that huge drop what we can get very rare. I dont know correct chance, but cat did 15 full pffest runs and got only few magnificent gears. So it looks like not possibly to get something decent in fest. Instead we have very-very solid chance in arena. L chance looks too high (in 5 times?), but i already got 3 Lgrade after patch and some just in start (not finishing reward). Its definitely much higher. You can see also high chance for Exq and probably magnificent has also a bit higher. Its very tasty, but we cant get much items from arena.
Also average pxp is lower even in arena (290-->243) and much lower in fest (227). Probably because we get many 1pab, suffixless and so on.
So, new system is very nice for casual players. 1-2 hours for arena and get something in top area and sometimes its gonna be very useful (maybe power of slaughter?). But is very hard for grinders, because fest doesnt give good gear.
You should also include that the new EXQ will never get 3 PABs. While the old superior can get full PABs. It make Exq- in this patch junk. Even MAG are very likely to have 2 PABs, and still need to wait for the correct type/suffix/prefix..........

Sorry Ice Cream -- no idea how much they're worth then.

Hello guys, Can anyone teach me how to precisely calculate the number of scraps needed to repair an equipment in 0.82? The wiki says: QUOTE Scraps Needed = 1 + rounddown((100 - condition%) / quality_mod
Where condition% is the equipment item's condition in percentage, and the quality_mod value is specified in the table below: Quality Coefficient Superior and lower 10 Exquisite and Magnificent 4 Legendary and Peerless 2
The release notes say: QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 17 2015, 17:14) Repair Tweaks - Repairs no longer require a catalyst. A larger amount of scrap is instead required. Rather than having distinct tiers, the amount of scrap now depends directly on the quality of the item. -- On average, the scrap-value equivalent cost for a full repair are significantly lower than before. It is slightly higher with a q between 0.78-0.84 (worst case +17) and between 0.95-0.98 (worst case +12), and slightly to significantly lower at all other quality ranges (best case -55). - Item wear was cut in half and repair cost was doubled - effectively cancelling each other out, except you only have to visit the forge half as often.
I tried to calculate #scraps based on the info above, and the results puzzled me. (Sorry about the big images) (I'm not sure when 0.82 does the "plus 1" part in the wiki, so I did two calculations for every case below) (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/gEbFA6w.png) (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/lJhx5nK.png) (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/1VZFfuJ.png) As you can see, the results do not 100% match with the wiki formula, so what might be the reason? Here is another case that does not match the wiki formula: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=9c19dae998When I was trying to repair my Exquisite cap at 54% condition today, the repair panel shows 28x Scrap Cloth are needed. However, the correct #scraps should have been either: 1. 2*(1+floor(100-54)/4) = 24 or 2. 2*(floor(100-54)/4) + 1= 23 (depending on how the plus 1 is placed in the new patch) I wonder if there is anything wrong in my caculations. If so, can anyone pinpoint it? Is there a chance that the wiki formula has been changed? If so, what might it acutally be? Thank you.

Since quality is now a variable in there somewhere, I wouldn't expect the formula from 0.81 to produce anything reliably meaningful now. It is said that Quality ~= (PXP - 100) / 250 - though while this was (probably) true for 0.81 and before, who knows if the new equipment generation has changed it. Not even that, given that using that formula, 350 PXP -> 1.0 quality (highest), but that was just barely Legendary in 0.81. Someone intelligent with scripts (extract repair cost, equipment condition, and PXP), regression statistics (come up with best-fit equation, possibly piecewise given 10b's statements), and a lot of gear in inventory headed for bazaar could probably figure it out quickly. Even that might not be required if the equation isn't too complicated... hmm... if only we knew how to calculate Quality exactly. Edit: If the quality formula estimate is accurate, then the formula to calculate scrap needed does not have a direct relationship with (quality * condition%_to_go). There is too much discrepancy. But my guess is the quality formula is pretty wrong. This post has been edited by Superlatanium: May 23 2015, 08:29

Yep. I was thinking about it. It has some interaction with pxp (2pab mag has around 315 pxp and it was old exq). So maybe its ok to continue use pxp system, because we aim mostly to 3pab mag. Sometimes we can ignore it, lets say i got dex+end force shield with max block. No str? Its not very big problem. But whole 2pab set is worse.

Arena on hell is...bad idea. 3,33% Fair 48,3% Average 46,6% Superior 1,6% Exq (in 13 times lower amount) And 0 above it.
But seems drop system was fixed a bit: "- Revised arena/grindfest combat drop rates for the three highest difficulties to better match historic drop rates. (For most things, it was no or a very minor change. The only really notable one will be more Superior drops instead of Average.)" I ll test new data soon.

QUOTE(Fudo Masamune @ May 23 2015, 14:22) Magnificent Arctic Wakizashi of BalanceIs this one good? If I somehwere I decided to try niten for example. No agi pab tough (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) AGI will raise your attack speed, offhand strike and evade, either one of them quite important for a nitener (at least, a shade nitener) - not to mention the fact that usually AGI in a waki is quite high, which mean also more SP popints. personally i think you should aim for 3 PAB or at least a missing STR, which is quite low and doesn't do so much anyways for DW/niten builds

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) you can still use it to start though, it has a good ACC. though niten is so bugged right now that i guess you won't even realize about that mssing PAB (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) btw, i just bought a couple upgrades for my heavy set. did someone note any significant difference in IW drops/difficulties/whatever? I also checked mana problem for mages. Seems its only for low-mid range of players and probably top mages dont even have it.
Why it exist. We just have higher consumption over restoration. What we can do. 1. Clear mobs very fast. Its gem income. Probably the strongest way for increase restoration. 2. Low wis. Also some big problem. +200wis d increase my regeneration with haste for ~2mp per turn. And my wis is even lower than 700 in current elemental build. 3. Regeneration perk with gold start. Another 2.1-2.6mp per turn for me.
So even last 2 could give me 4.5mp/turn. If my average turns per round is 5 than per 100 rounds i could get 2250mp (3 mp pots?).
4. Ia 5 slots or additional sup prof. My full buff without ia cost 4mp/turn. With 5ia i d get 2,7mp/turn. Another mp pot. 5. Imperil. This one worth very solid amount of mp. For me its 3x of 1tier spell. 6. 2x prof build. It was nice before, but now it works perfect for mana saving.
Actually there are some others ways also, but thats more than enough. Very powerful mage has clean 20+mp/turn income (for my lvl) with haste and thats enough for whole t3-t1 rotation. That means its possibly not only have 0pot spending, but also to use only draughts and have solid pot income.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) as of now, niten needs a nice (either through stats roll &/ potencies combination &/ forge) mainhand as a "keeper" then hope for desired wakizashi drop for every certain levels. Note that the style is bad from begin with.

just wondering, what do you mean with 'nice' ? which requirements/potencies? This post has been edited by Scremaz: May 23 2015, 15:48
