It only seems to happen for me on newer chrome versions. I still use a portable Chrome v31(?) for Hentaiverse. Basically from 2 years ago (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Accepts all scripts just fine and is not that resource intensive.

Chrome 42.0.2311.135 m (Others have said that using much much older versions of Chrome allows native userscripts to work, maybe try that)

I kind of doubt it will help with flickering, but it wouldn't hurt to try an old version (29 or lower, maybe):

[sourceforge.net] http://sourceforge.net/projects/srwareiron.../?source=navbar

Grab the portable build so you don't have to install anything.

I think if your t/s is high enough at a certain point the screen will stop flashing
Just installed the newest iron with only mousemelee and its very fast, it only flashes 90% of the time (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

All version of chrome/iron share the same setting file in MS windows. You need to clear all of the setting file and cache to make a clean start. Or the same problem will be there.

Looks like i need closer to 10-12k magic score with 2.0 prof for fast hell clear in 5 average turns. Or damage perks. My current is only 6600 and its near 8,8.

QUOTE(n125 @ May 9 2015, 02:33) *

I'm guessing the permanent Spirit Stance thing One-handed enjoys is one aspect that might get nerfed. Tenboro once wrote that he intendeds to change how Overcharge works, so it could be through that; it was a long time ago, however.

There are 3 possibilities of what may happen:
1. Overwhelming Strike becomes 1x stack at max.
2. Now DW generates OC from Parry, and 1H generates OC from only Block.
3. "Block" now only block Physical Attacks.

QUOTE(boulay @ May 9 2015, 03:02) *

Maybe he could buff overcharge gain for 2H and DW instead. It's about time domino strike gave some additionnal OC... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I don't see how 2H can gain a balanced benefit from OC generation. From Domino Strike? That'd be too OP.

QUOTE(holy_demon @ May 9 2015, 04:31) *

I generate a lot of OC and use spirit stance ofteen in grindfest. And Defend is also important to keep myself alive during the later rounds of grindfest and pfudo iw.

What's the benefit of PFUDOR IW? IWBTH is way faster to accomplish the goal.

QUOTE(holy_demon @ May 9 2015, 04:31) *

FRD can actually be useful to mage (use it before t3) if you don't have to sacrifice the evade from Godslayer.

An unusual strategy indeed. Gonna try it out. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ May 9 2015, 05:25) *

I cleared Hellfest yesterday with only 6 heroic mana and some very mild ether tap in a few spots when IA was about to expire, but then I'm an elemental player. I might be ready for Nintendo blasting. Though I'm concerned about how quickly SP can be drained if mobs chain together a bunch of hits... Maybe it's time to forge some holy shoes.
Mage has very poor defense, so it's much more of an issue than for other classes.

Which element do you play with? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ May 9 2015, 05:25) *

Mage has very poor defense, so it's much more of an issue than for other classes.

But Mage has the fastest clearing speed, which makes 2H the most defenseless style. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ May 9 2015, 05:38) *

Wanna ask about mage , how much upgrade and magic score need to clear PFU arenas including SG fast and smoothly (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I play without any Shard, Infusion, Scroll, Tap or Theft. My Phase built is almost unforged, and my Staff is lightly forged. With a Full-Phase built and a Destruction staff, my Magic score is ~12k. My potion combo for PFUDOR is: 10 MP Potions + 5 SP Potions.

I can clear all the regular Arenas at PFUDOR without any problem. (Imperil is needed)
For the 1st SG Arena: I can also clear it in PFUDOR. (Imperil+MagNet is needed)
For the 2st SG Arena: I can clear it in BT at max. (Imperil+MagNet is needed)
For DwD: I can clear it in Hell at max. (even with Imperil+ MagNet)

As a Melee, I can clear the SG Arenas at PFUDOR without any problem.

P.S. - Nowadays I play the SG Arenas in Normal difficulty only. Mainly for Trophies and Tokens, but also because in higher difficulty, the clear time increases exponentially.

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ May 9 2015, 06:01) *

With my M to L-edb gear, one piece forged to 20 and staff to 5, ordinary arenas have been a piece of cake ever since I got Eco 5 on staff. On T&T I finish with 5-6 unused potions. So I imagine that a quite cheap set of unforged Mmax-EDB would be able to do the same, though with more time and slightly more risk. I think tetron was in this position.

My full phase set was very cheap. Anyone can build such a set. And as I always say, Unforged Mage can be very good if you know the right strategy to play most efficiently. For example, Imperil in PFUDOR reduces the number of SP potions used and decreases the Clear Time. And even though the 200% prof build is a bit more safe than full phase build, it's clearing speed is not enough without Imperil for SG Arenas.

Oh and btw, some of my Phase pieces has <Emax EDB. But that's enough for me to clear all the regular Arenas at PFUDOR. Mmax is not "absolutely necessary." (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE(holy_demon @ May 9 2015, 06:19) *

Back when I started maging, I could clear DwD with +5 mmax full phase, 5 mp pot (4 of them for the first 50 rounds (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ), 3-5 sp pots. Afterwards it's just optimizing your drain frequency to use up all the pots
Only with Holy mage is SG easier than normal arena

Unfortunately, Elemental Mage is much more strategy oriented in SG arenas than Holy. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

QUOTE(Void Domain @ May 9 2015, 08:11) *

Is there a way to disable the screen flash in Iron / Chrome? I only use firefox because of this (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Same reason why I quit Iron. Now I use Firefox for HV. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ May 9 2015, 08:20) *

I remember someone made a script utilizing AJAX for retrieving HV data, which was mentioned in a thread as a possible solution for the annoying flashing, but I haven't tried it myself.

That script is not compatible with Spell Spam. As of now, it's only for Melee.

We've been using wind since before it was cool. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

For me it's a coincidence that it (unfortunately) turned out to be one of the more popular magic damage types currently. If I had to pick now I'd probably go with cold or something just to avoid the competition.

That may be true, but the popularity of an element also determine the supply of gears in the market.

For good-quality gear? I'm not sure about that. There is a limited amount of gear that would be considered "good enough" for a main set by less casual players, and gear in that range would be kept to be sold regardless of element. Maybe there are more junky Exquisite-range Freyr than Sutyr displayed in shops, but that only matters to newbies or to those who don't play enough to get any significant income, I'd think.

Mages would prefer the OC system be reworked so that all classes can make fair use of OC. Mages can not make use of OC in standard play, including spirit stance, focus, defend, and skills, including orbital friendship cannon (physical damage based on your ABD stat!) The one mage skill is also a joke (a MELEE strike to a single monster, causing stun for 5 turns.)

While we're at this, it'd be nice to fix the bug that prevents mages from enjoying all the godslayer perks.

Edit: at PFUDOR difficulty, the mobs also have +25% haste. So the stun expires in 3.75 turns instead. Do all the mobs get a free attack upon coming out of stun?
I was under the impression that buff/debuff times are unaffected by the affected target's action speed, and only count down a turn based on the game's internal time mechanism, which is not directly observable (unfortunately). For instance, you Regen yourself. With high action speed (I'll make up the number 0.6) you'll only see Regen restore health, and the buff counter count down by one, every 1 / 0.6 = 1.67 turns. Or, with monsters, say you counter-attack stun one of them. The stun counter will decrease at the same rate, every time the internal action time passes a whole number. The player's action speed is fast, so often you'll see a turn go by when stun counter does not decrease. Monsters have very quick action speed in PFUDOR, sometimes hitting you twice each turn (action speed 0.5?? another completely made up number) but their buff/debuff counters only count down after the game's internal clock crosses 1.0 or 2.0 or 3.0, etc.

At least, this was how I was thinking it worked.

You're thinking way too much. Calm down a bit.

More popularity = More demand = More items in the market. As simple as that.
If no one is gonna buy your items, you won't be sending them to auctions.
