What stats should I be investing in? I'm using a staff.

Strength (40)
Dexterity (40)
Agility (40)
Endurance (94)
Intelligence (94)
Wisdom (94)

also are these worth upgrading?

More Agility means more evade, which is very useful for mage. It's fine to keep Strength and Dexterity low though.

Staff looks good to use, for your level, but I don't think it's quite good enough to justify forging.

Armor should either be Phase or Demon-fiend (assuming you're Dark) (if you're encountering significant resists). Anything else is probably not worth the tradeoff.

Do many folk here actually hang on to obsolete equipment? I mean, obsolete equipment that is useless? I generally get rid of them as soon as I can - keep the best, salvage (or sell) the rest...

Kind of defeats the purpose of being Radiant if the EDB is so bad.

Well using dodgy estimates*, it appears to give ~1.3% Magic Base damage. Which is extremely close to 1H Savage vs other prefix bonus damage of ~1.3% (with feathershards).

*my level, 1k INT/WIS, +50 forged MMAX staff of destruction.

It's probably worth more as salvaged high-grade cloth (7k+- ?) than bazzar value but you'd have to check sell price.

You could keep it for sentimental value, or (if/once you open a shop) hope that someone will see the "Legendary" and want to buy it, but I don't think that's all that likely.

I got my first legendary at 230-ish or maybe earlier. At 4th level of LotD. A leather. Sold it to bazaar. No legendary dropped for me since.

(I last until round 200-220) Which do you guys think is more profitable, money-wise? Arenas give around double the credits, more frequent chaos tokens per round, but half the other drops, and less than 1/4 the crystal drops of GF. (I do not have Crystarium)

Each monster gives 4x more credits in Arena, but there are also significantly fewer average monsters per round compared to GF's 8.

For me, past round 100, I'm healing quite frequently as 1h. Even Focus doesn't really work because monsters start doing so much damage - even with only 1 or 2 mobs left, with SS off and trying to gain OC or use Focus when all are stunned, Cure is common. Past ~150, and it seems like healing nearly every turn Cure is off CD.

And this is with 1h. With mage I feel I'll be instagibbed almost as soon as I start. (Mage repair costs are also double 1h repair costs, which eats up quite a big chunk of my income... seems barely profitable - especially with GF where equipment rusts more quickly than Arena. If I dropped difficulty to where mage could handle, I don't know if I would even break even). I really really want to play as mage everywhere with my nice shiny equipment instead of 1h, but the repair costs are just too much.

Just die or flee when potion run out. No reason to go deep. Your target is not crystals anyway.
I normally GF @ Nintendo for artifact/crystal. GF @ PF for exq gears (that will become credits).

BTW, are you using full Leg mage set? I'm using 5x mag cloth so I can sustain my repair cost @ hell+.

Yep. Reasoning was that very high stats are needed for getting far in PF GF, which I want to do eventually (said to be doable?), though I still have many Phazons and levels to go before that becomes an option. I suppose I could spend more millions for 5 Mags, but that seems redundant and I wouldn't be able to forge them. Seems better to keep using 1h.

I think I calculated Arena repair costs as mage as 49k for non-SG and 25+ rounds. GF is worse, probably 80k or something for same number of rounds, which is a huge chunk of income down the drain. I just can't (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

Though, if hath falls to 1500, I might be able to afford Repair Bear, and things would be different.

You should mix some cotton to lower the repair cost and time/round.
Repair bear is just for wasting haths.

GF without crystals perks is useless. Specially as mage.

Btw. how many gf rounds i could do with few mage sets? Lets say hell diff.
1. With 3m set
2. With 10m set
3. With 20m set
