The basic thing to do is: salvage if the value of the mats you get by salvaging is higher that what you get from selling it, sell otherwise.

Salvaging an average (or below) gear gives an amount of scrap equal to roundup(bazaar_value/100). For example, if you salvage an equipment with a bazaar value between 101c and 200c, you will get 2 scraps. Scrap cloth and wood are the only ones with a good value on the market (90+ credits each). For Metal and Leather... only salvage if you need them for repairs.

Salvaging a superior (or above) gear gives an amount of scraps equal to roundup(bazaar_price/500), plus a graded mat depending on the quality: low grade for superior, mid grade for exquisite, high grade for magnificent or above. As the amount of scrap you get is reduced, you will usually salvage if the sell value is under the value of the graded mat + 1 scrap.

The type of material you get depends on the gear type:
- One-Handed, Two-Handed, and Heavy Armor gives Metal
- Staff and Shield gives Wood
- Cloth Armor gives Cloth
- Light Armor gives Leather

For the respective values of graded mats, search the WTS section or look up the prices of the bazaar bot. Low grade mats should be worth about 100~200c each, mid grade mats about 600c each, and high grade mats are about 3k for Metal, 2k for Leather, 8k for Cloth and 10k for Wood.

If you are lazy: just salvage average- staff/shield/cloth, plus average- gear that gives you scraps you need for repairs, and sell the rest.

Shock....So i had 22 tokens and new trio blood arena was available. Its huge price and i ve never did it, so i was thinking about x9 difficulte. U already probably guess that. But as first time i decided to take x6, because i dont wanna waste that 10 tokens for normal. And than...shock. 7 purple bosses, healing and 3 ordinary with 1m+ hp. What? How can i kill it if even ordinary has that much and its 10 dangerous mobs at the same time.

But than i noticed healer has low hp, so i killed him first. I killed few more and they all got strong buff and started to hit me hard. So i used many weaken (glad about update it before in abilities so even with 40 proficiency it was pretty nice time and 3 targets) and that was fine. But it was so close, last hits i was doing without shield, because spend all my sp pots. Huh. That was tough.

What I said for late arenas should be a bonus chance actually, stacking multiplicatively to the normal chance.

Regarding the base chance of a token clear bonus, the wiki says it's around 15~25%.

Congrats. Don't hesitate to clear arenas/RoB at Normal difficulty the first time, just for the huge credit bonus.

so i have 2 tokens of blood and i can clear the monster encounter every half hour on battle toads. i was wondering what should i challenge in the ring of blood and what difficulty should i set it on to be ensure completion.

Clear each RoB once for the credit bonus (Normal difficulty is okay if you just want the credits), then keep your tokens for Flying Spaghetti Monster. The Noodly Appendage it drops can be sold for 30~35k on the market. I recommend DW (Ethereal Club of Slaughter + Ethereal Rapier of Balance) with light armor for clearing them. Don't hesitate to use deprecating spells like Weaken and Silence.

wow, quite a big masochist here, daring 10 tokens this way (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
healing ability is due to SP ability of yggdrasil, which is one of the four standard enemies at the end of "trio and tree" arena and drops a 3k-worth trophy. on the other hand, all the mobs on the field receive also the "absorbing ward" effect as long it is alive.
another strategy (which may be useful/funny/challenging/whatever you want) may be to keep the tree constantly silenced and to hit only the other targets. doing this spares you from all of them gaining the "fury of the sisters" effect, but keeps the "absorbing ward" active, so you can't use magic offensive attacks. surely you have to kill the three goddesses as last just for their surplus processes
