Speaking of Hellfest, can elemental mages clear it without Shard, Infusion, Scroll and the Damage Perks? I mean only based on the HP/MP/SP perks and Forging? If so, then how many level of forging is suggested?

QUOTE(tetron @ Nov 9 2014, 19:03) Leg radiant phase? Then I guessed right! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) BT is the best choice. There is a huuuuuge gap in clearing speed if you compare PFUDOR and BT. In general PFUDOR is much more slow of a choice if your primary goal is to farm Crystal. hmmm? QUOTE(holy_demon @ Nov 9 2014, 19:07) hellfest prepare to chuck energy drink though (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) hmmmmm? QUOTE(Colman @ Nov 9 2014, 19:13) I already do this. It is so slow. But what about drops. is highest difficulty setting Quality boost still pure trolling and not worth it?

Let me simplify the matter a little: PFUDOR - Produces the biggest amount of Crystal drops, but is not Mage friendly, thus it's usually slow. BT - Produces a little less crystal then PFUDOR, but if you play Mage (Any element) in this difficulty, you'll earn far more crystals (than PFUDOR) in a very short time. So, PFUDOR - If you are a cheapskate like frugality and are super calculative. BT - If you want to farm Crystals ASAP. (Mind that you'll also need tons of ED) This post has been edited by tetron: Nov 9 2014, 21:54

I need just a few Crystals. 100-200 million of each sort should do.

Then get some ED and start farming Crystals in BT with a mage set. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) You'll definitely reach your target faster this way (compared to PFUDOR). (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) But as I said before, ED will be burning out very quickly, so... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Provided that you have Crystarium 3, hellfest should be your best bet. At your level you should be able to clear a lot of those per day and get a nice amount of crystals. BTfest and higher are just a pain in the arse, so if you want to grind those smootly, go for hellfest. But as said above, energy drinks are a must... Also, PFUDOR does give better drop. But it's a pain in the arse. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Answer: Stats There are mags with all the right stats maxed or close to that outperform legendary items. Reason is Grade/Quality is applied only based on the sum average amount of all stats on an item. Thus 2 exquisites items of the same type can be either 200k in shop or barely worth the bazaar sell price or salvage. Same reason why a mag staff is worth 10k from salvaged high grade wood or half a million in a shop. The stats are what people are after. There as exquisite phases/power that are better than mags/ due to maxed elemental damage bonus or added damage bonus etc. Its up to the the player to check the wiki for references. Things get tricky when items are forged and such but its doable. This post has been edited by smurf123: Nov 10 2014, 01:46

Add "popularity" too. Current trend in HV0.81: 1. Holy mage Their prefer: Mag+ Hallowed Oak/Katalox Staff of Destruction/Heimdall Exq+ Radiant/Charged/Frugal/Mystic Phase suits of Heimdall 2. Wind mage Mag+ Tempestuous Willow/Redwood Staff of Destruction/Freyr Exq+ Radiant/Charged/Frugal/Mystic Phase suits of Freyr 3. 1H Power Mag+ Hallowed/Demonic/Ethereal Rapier of Slaughter/Nimble Mag+ any prefix Force Shield of any suffix (M+ block) Exq+ any prefix Power suits of Slaughter All of the matching up here can auction for ridiculous among of dollar (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by kumosu: Nov 10 2014, 05:09

I'll gladly pay another 160k (or higher) for another one! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (If he's interested in selling, that is)

Sell your hath on the exchange and offer credits. Buy in packs. Offer 75000 per pack. You'll get millions of crystals quickly. Play grindfest concurrently on the highest difficulty that you can clear without much slowdown near the end. Having frith-level neurosis would probably help as well... Protection/ Warding/ Deflection for light armor. Protection/ Warding/ Dampening for heavy armor. A high-level player's comment (Zack_CN): https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=3571418I strongly suggest you buy a crushing one if you use Heavy or Piercing if you are Light. Warding and protection work like shit. This post has been edited by djackallstar: Nov 10 2014, 19:17

Not to mention that Forging Mitigations are also super frustrating. No matter how much you forge, you'll never get a satisfactory result because of their utter low base values! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) BTW, I have some questions (again): ...Which I seem to have forgotten (again)!! =_=

No, all the mitigations are multiplicative, including crushing, slashing and piercing (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
