man, leveling is becoming a drag now. Anyone has advice on what to train/get? currently i'm 200 on AL, thinking cap, IA1, IA2. My eq mostly exq slaughter. Which should I focus on now? Equipment? training? hath perks? credits?

Max out AL. I presume you're a 1H, so either forge or get a better shield. If don't use 1H, get yourself a shield and rapier. Ex slaughter is quite serviceable as long as you have a decent shield.

Get crystarium if you play quite a bit, try to get LotD as high as possible regardless of playing time.

there's someone who like to do the math to see what's convenient and what's not, but since the difference is quite little personally i'd suggest you to salvage everything under superior, and starting from exq+ you may want to repair rare equip and bazaar them. maybe you'll lose some hundreds of C but surely it's quicker (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

i'd say grindfest for better crystal drops. but unless you play at high difficulties i don't think it will be so much of a difference at your level

you should play at the maximum level which allow you to finish arenas to maximize EXP gain, but actually you'd better only focus on leveling faster, prof (both profit and proficiency) will come with levels

averages and crudes can be salvaged without thinking too much on them. as for math, this is what's known until now afaik. as i told you i usually salvage, so i can't be of much help. colman or cats_lover may have more detailed infos though

1. Level up to 350+ at least to easily beat it as a melee. As 1H, my friend cleared DwD PFUDOR for the first time at around 340-mid level without using Focus.
2. If you're 1H get best shield and forge its block 20~25 times.
3. Get best 5 power slaughter armors you can get.
4. Use holy/dark rapier (or/with) holy/dark infusion.
5. Get OFC and use it after SG shows up.
6. Use Spirit Theft which helps you balancing MP and SP.

1. Ah it will take long time. After 300 leveling goes pretty slow.
2. Will it really do that much difference? I have exmax shield forged 3 times (for me it is almost 40%).
I have 6% shielding armor piece and by using it, i didn't notice difference, except lower dmg. (i know that it is not something one can notice just like that)
The worst part is that it is increasing as diminishing returns..
3. I have 4 piece slaughter + warden (with still pretty good adb). My overall abd is low (~5200), unfortunately i don't see much potential in increasing it.
Even if i had 1000 more adb it would still be slow. And i am unable to get 1000 more even if i wanted it very much.
4. I use ethereal rapier iw10, unfortunately it rolled elec strike..
will holy or dark be really visible increase in dmg? because this elec strike sucks (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
5. Right, i almost forgot about OFC. It is like 800k in credits? I should aim for it for now.
6. Lately i have been grinding forbidden on RE (leaving 3 mobs and spamming corruption + mana potions). I have 81 now.
Soon i will check if it works for me. Still i am not thrilled with idea. : p But what necessary is necessary.
7. well i am starting to be a bit dissapointed with 1h (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) it is good, no doubt.. but i just want to kill them faster. Lately i sometimes even do low difficulty arena just to get rid of stamina faster.

Conclusion, the speed is similar in short run. Let's see how will it be when the cache filled up.

I only tested v28. Perhaps v27 is as good as new.

At your level you should do as much RE (random encounter) as possible. It gives the most reward for you.
Of course you should do it at highest difficulty you can handle. It is only 1 fight with 5-10 monsters.
For best enjoyment install script to remind you of RE (click)

Leveling at your lvl goes really fast. And you should take priority in leveling. You will be naturally lacking in proficiency but that is normal. At higher lvls you will start gaining more and more proficiency per lvl, so you will not have much problem with it.

Do all arena you can. I would suggest going higher difficulty than nightmare (at least hell) if you can handle it. If not then perhaps visit freeshop or ask for help with fighting style.

It is also best if you don't go below 80 stamina (because 80+ gives you 100% more exp).
If you want to grind something and you can't do arena no more, do some grindfest at iwbth or so (first round have low amount of monsters so..)

Well.. I am using v37. Comparing to v28 it was 1.33 t/s difference..
Ofcourse you can install userscripts direcly, it is chrome afterall. It is actually advised to do so. As i mentioned tempermonkey/greasemonkey slow you down.

In my 1st attempt to DwD, I finished it in BT with a Sup grade Rapier and a Exq Buckler of battlecaster (without OFC). Since then I've been doing it in Hell in Elec Mage setup, and since it takes up a lot of time, I do it after I'm done with every other Arena and RoB.

Until they do. It always happens, because tenboro has an incessant need to "balance" everything. No one used to use 1H, add Force shields and now it's the latest fad. LG was completely dead for several years, and now it's not. If you go far enough back, there was even a time when everyone used heavy and no one used mage.

So basically, you shouldn't be surprised if leather gets a major buff in the near future.

My first attempt was few days ago when i knew i will not be able to get rid of stamina later so i wanted to do it fast now.
I think it was hell, i didn't even give much attention since i was watching something else but.. I was out of spirit in 90-100 rounds?
Then at 135 i noticed that i no longer have any mana potions.. In situation where i have half life, 3 bosses, no mana and no potions (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
And guess what happened?

Well, playing the 1st two SG Arenas had given me a glimpse of what DwD was gonna be like. I figured that after a certain round, I'll have to deal with all 3 SGs at the same time. So I made some full-proof planning before attempting the final Arena.

What was my Setup:

I choose a sup grade ethereal rapier for this battle, since it already had Holy Strike thanks to IW. Then I added Infusion of Darkness, Voidseeker, and Aether Shards to it. All doping effects were set to expire in 180 minutes.

As for Shield, I used a Buckler with the best Mana Conservation that I had, since I thought DwD was gonna be a looooong fight.

My armor consisted of 4x Power-Warding and 1x Power-Slaughter. Except for the Power-Slaughter, which I won in a auction, all other pieces were either bought from Bazaar or my own drops.

To make things more safe, I used all the infusions on each & every piece of Armor + Shield. Again, they were set to expire in 180 minutes.

I filled the Potion Slots with 15x Last Elixirs just for this one special finish.

What I lacked:

I still don't have OFC (Dropped 7 Ponies myself), so it was out of equation.

Neither of my Shield nor my armors were forged or IWed.

I didn't have any Hath Perk other than the CoD one.

Forbidden Proficiency: This was one thing I lacked very much. When I attempted this challenge, my Forbidden prof was a Big "0"! But still, I slotted all the necessary Ability Slots for Spirit Theft just in case.

How was the Battle:

It was going very well till Round-97. I had used only one Last elixirs by then. I did some minor Focus and Spirit Theft along the way. Then...my net connection suddenly went down the gutter!

After 4 hours, the net connection came back! But as you can figure, all the effects of the Infusions and Shards had wear off by then!

Battle became lengthier after this, as I was panicking and started doing way too much Focus and 1 or 2 spirit theft on each round.

After consuming a total of 12 Last Elixirs, I finally confronted the Dragon Trio. And much to my surprise, I took them down waaaay easier than I had anticipated! This was thanks to Imperil, which I was constantly using since the SGs started showing up.


And that's how I cleared my 1st DwD, got the Dovahkin Title, and found out that the title was utter crap!
