Went out and pre-emptively bought x100 amnesias to reset the rapier and get butcher 5 on it again. It was IW9 before but so many bindings on it pushed max and got cold strike, of all damn things. Anyway it was surprising that it only took 20 to get b5 on it. Jenga must've had a lucky window yesterday. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Not sure I care really about what other potencies unlock on it. Need to finish upgrading it before I IW it back to level 9. Forge level 49 now, so almost done grinding that too. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Not exactly luck. My IW method just allows for lvl 5 of potencies fairly easily.

Could anybody link a weapon with only Butcher and Fatality on it? B5/F4 or B4/F5.

I just want to make sure they exist.

I'm not talking about any 5/4 potency. But, specifically Butcher and Fatality. Not sure if you remember, but there were issues with someone else's IW that wasn't possible at the time. It was since fixed.

Why would a lvl 6 weapon matter at all? I've gotten B/F up to lvl 6 about 20 times.

My IW method for potency lvl 5 is;

All IWBTH/PFUDOR runs. If you don't get what is needed for that run, reset.

Run 1 - Get Lvl 2 of potency you want
Run 2 - Get 1 more potency, 2nd doesn't matter
Run 3/4 - Get 1 more potency
Run 5-9 - Hope for last potency

This method is aggressive but will save shards in the long term by capitalizing on the existing potency boost.

More like i've been unlucky when i did it, i use more or less the same method as jenga.

iirc, 0.4 packs with no perks, 0.8 packs with crys 1, 1.2 packs with crys 2, and almost 2 packs with crys 3

I've had Haste slotted for the longest time and I don't know if it actually helps or not. I guess if the action speed it gives isn't affected by burden then I guess it would be useful? But perhaps maybe Spirit Shield might be a better slot instead.

I slot Haste and Spirit Shield as 1H. Haste indirectly lengthens your buffs and saves you MP in the long run. Definitely invaluable on PFUDOR.

Haste makes buffs last longer and has relatively short duration-> pretty much the first spell for IA.

IMO Haste and Protection are must for any fighting style.
As holy_demon said Haste makes you fast, so the buffs on you & debuffs on enemies including weapon proc like stun and PA last longer.
Longer buffs = save on MP

And I slotted it for all styles except 1H... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) cuz I barely play at PFUDOR outside of RE's even as a mage, let alone 1H. And outside of PFUDOR Haste breaks the perma spirit stance and slows down the HA prof gain to me... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Also, recently discovered that using light armor guarantees spell prof gain up until 100 at least (wonder why I forgot after I grinded depreciating prof to 100 until now...)

I dun think he need to play anymore. He can use the credit from selling materials to feed the new dark mage.
