So basically checking once every 2 days will give the same result as checking every hour?

Check more than once a day if your monster gives 7+ gifts a day.
I don't know how many gifts a monster could have a day with gift cooldown, though.
BTW My friend said that his monster brings 12+ gifts a day. Sometimes 15+. So he checks 3 times a day.

Anyone know the evade% that will allow you to play 2H(estoc) shade without getting hit too much?

maybe, i'm just too poor for the good stuff, but i've always found 2H(estoc) to be a bit too squishy.

all other monsters are practically worthless

I thought posting occasionally gives me the full XP/credit bonus for the Dawn of the Day. Did that change? I made a random post yesterday, only got 25 XP, 7 credits for this Dawn of the Day again.

I believe it takes a day or so to "update."

not a joke. somehow it happened today. though, it's very very rare that it brought me multiple gifts in 1-day with those low "double gift" stats. let alone 5 gifts. also, i kept a group of low PL monster (PL25-50) & most of them brings me LG/MG mats every 2-3 day. sometimes there's a bindings here & there.

iirc, now you need to post at least once per day to get "full xp/credit" for dawn of the day.

it's more about forging and having so much attack defense doesn't matter. With Niten+shade, 29% AS / 66% pmi / 48% evade / 56% parry, and like 1000-1400 less damage than my power set, i get wrecked. My estoc is lightly forged, so bout 150 dmg less, 10% AS less, and 20% parry less. I don't even try with it. I've only got mag shade though.

it's the randomness. imo, i'll just take whatever they give me & be happy about it. sometimes my PL750 guy didn't bring me anything in a couple days & he just thinks this week is all MG mats week. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I've been alternating between the 3 melee styles; would it be better to focus on grinding one proficiency instead? It gets dull after a while, so I was wondering if a couple more proficiency points are worth it.
Also, would it be a bad idea to use my materials/bindings on exquisite equipment? I'm asking because I have yet to get anything of a higher tier.

Once per day is fine, just don't smash like 20 posts per day.
Or you can be so active that you simply don't need it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The Dawn give you 5% of EXP required to reach next level, so while it may not be so significant, it's still beneficial.
