shield is very useful when you are facing a mob of monsters and is unable to KO them on your first turn.
it is also the cheapest spell, for those under level 110, for support prof grinding.
at a support prof of 139.18, shield is absorbing 44.8 per physical attack.

Ive got a new Aura Slot with Aura Point and have the choice between Green, Blue and Violet to use for my new equip. Since i specialise in Fire and Lightning im not sure which of the other elements would be more useful. My char is your typical Battle Mage with emphasis on endurance to tank incoming damage whilst casting. Which aura do you think is best suited for me?

The elemental ratings aren't that usefull for you because you are low level, so i think that you should get your aura based on your stats. I always like to prioritize my damage over defences, so in your case i would pick the violet. Blue aura is also an ok choice, because wisdom also raises magic rating slightly.
edit: what aura's do you currently have?

Assuming you have Yellow/Indigo already, get Violet. The magical hit chance will help a lot since low level mages have shitty accuracy.

Definitely violet amongst these three. Currently I have 4 auras on : red (fire rating), orange (also for fire rating), yellow (II) for +2 % evade and violet (II) for Magical DMG.
Now my question : soon I'll ding 100 lvl and get access to T11 - Dark spells. Will it make much more easier one-shooting waves of monsters in comparison to fire-based maging ? My prof elemental prof. is around 93, 4 auras mentioned below and T1 + T2 proficiency skills maxed and I still can't on-shot every wave :/. Also the reason behind my question is that after dinging 100 level, I'm planing to do some shopping and I need some advice regarding clothes I should focus on.

those aren't dark spells, but soul spells. Tier 1 soul spells aren't that good, because the spell isn't that strong, has decently high mana costs and there is no equipment that boosts the elemental damage rating of soul spells This post has been edited by hyl: Jan 22 2011, 18:29

Yeah, I meant Soul spells, my bad (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif). Yeah I know that drawback of using Soul spells is lack of equipment boosting it, but on the other hand I could try beating 3/4 Legendary bosses with it.

I have only used soul spells, because i can raise forbidden proficiencies a little before getting dark spells on lvl 150 and they cost less mp than dark spells. You're better off targeting the bosses with their specific weaknesses. Even when you start getting more than one, it's easier to take them out one at a time than it is to use Soul spells to hit them all at once.

You still have demon-fiend gear. Plus the 250 soul spells aren't good for griding either, you need one monster to have soul fire first (proc), then the soul burst will do the huge dmg. And to help, soul burst doesn't proc soul fire (unless the monster has the effect already), you're forced to cast soul fire (single target spell) first.

I loved tier 1 soul spells and used them for IW for a very long time. I think it started out at 25 mana to cast, and I was able to 1 shot normal monsters were if i went elemental spells something would resist or take much less dmg so i would always have to cast more spells.

I accidentally did longest journey on battletoads. Needless to say, I did not survive, but I did get past halfway (surprisingly) with 2 lesser pots and 1 greater.
And... posted in wrong thread... lol

has someone figured the base damage of spells?
are arens worth doing on the max difficulty available or it's just better to use them as easy prof grinding? in short terms: if i increase difficulty in arenes i can get more money and better drops, or i just get more exp?
i got yellow, orange, red, green auras and i'm switching to full mage: what are the aura that i should get? for now i use electric for primary and i'm training on holy spells

I just got my third trophy, and I'm wondering what I should do with it this time. I offered my last two, and each time I got equipment that was really nothing special. So is the third time the charm, or is there something else I can use it for instead?
(Oh by the way, I'm saving my ability points for Tier 4 so I don't have to pay to reset.)

Yes to all. QUOTE(MisterLemon @ Jan 23 2011, 15:34) I just got my third trophy, and I'm wondering what I should do with it this time. You get 1 good equipment around every 500 trophies. It's better to offer it instead of selling it for 200c.

The trophy you get is also based on your level. If you're on a leveling streak, it's better to wait after all (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

At your level it shouldn't be a much problem to get an average gear for ~1 k C each for some shop in WTS section.

500...500 trophies? I think I should run when I meet a BOSS in IW or GF, combat item cost is much more than the 200c... Er... I noticed that high level equips can be sold in bazzar for more credits. What's the average sale price for level 150 equipments? or level 200? I think there will be a level I can sell them more than 200c, right?

BTW, are there a caculator for loot quality?
I only knows that Luck of the Draw +1% per rank, and some trophies give hundreds of loot quality.
How about difficulty, enemy strength, turns and Arena/IW/GF/RM modifiers?
