Ok, I know already what you wrote, but I had thought it has some similar effect to cookie icon.

So basically I'm looking to be an offensive tank: STR/END highest, AGL/DEX about 0.66 of STR/END, and INT/WIS is about 0.33 of STR/END; I wear full heavy, so burden and interference are immense; I put INT/WIS up for magic defense (or shouldn't I put them up at all if I don't use magic?); and I use a two-handed weapon. Can someone maybe give me a good recipe for a tank? Should I wear less heavy because spells are a MUST? How should I distribute stats?

How to defeat Gods at my level without using Scrolls of Life / Gods?
I just took down FSM, but I used about 15 Scrolls of Life, half of my stock.
I was using a light armor dark protection, 1W with my 45% block shield. I was dealing ~350 damage from BW, ~50 from poison, ~20 from hits (~100 with holy infusion).
I was able to Reg II the regular damage, but his spirit attacks are obviously non-tankable, and they were putting a drain on my spark resources.

Silence + Dark Mitigation gear (Around 60% minimum) is enough. Regen 2 should be able to take care of the normal hits. Use Regen 1 if you have around 80-90% Mit.

What Rei said, and axe+rapier. Bleed & PA+poison makes a lot of damage, and by that less turns to kill. That's less chances to get hit by God's SA, and saves time and mana. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jan 21 2011, 16:11

With IPU And FSM can survive with mitigration stuff.
but how about reallife.
1000+turn with boss attack is enough to burn all of my mana.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Hey guys, I was wondering if the Shield spell is actually worth it? Sure its effective on like normal mode and below but it blocks barely any damage? Does it scale well with proficiencies?

For 1 AP, it is certainly worth it. For each hit you take, that's whatever amount of hp you don't have to heal with your cure spell, so it'll save you a lot more mana than cure will in the long run.
It's also one of the earliest and cheapest support spells available to you, so you might as well get it to boost your supportive proficiency early on.
Currently at my proficiency (around 55), shield boosts my physical absorption by 20 points for 22 turns. Keep in mind you can get hit by up to 8-9 different enemies in a single turn. That's several hundreds, possibly a thousand less damage I'm taking with a single cast, and cure only heals me around 250 at the moment

for melee shield is useful for mages better use haste if not capped speed, while shield can be used to farm proficiency with extra mana in arena

shield is very useful when you are facing a mob of monsters and is unable to KO them on your first turn.
it is also the cheapest spell, for those under level 110, for support prof grinding.
at a support prof of 139.18, shield is absorbing 44.8 per physical attack.
