Get a good shield (with high block) is the most important thing for 1H. Power Slaughter is good but not a must.

Getting a better weapon is such a pain. Mine is kind of meh, but when i try to search for a better one, they cost over 1 mil.

Maybe, but getting a weapon with base WD over 30 shouldn't be so hard. Rapier's sup range is 21-40, so about half of them surpass it already.

How can you check WD? Kind of new to all this. Last time i played was before that ability system rework.

open the popup, and in it hover over the writing 'xxx Damage', it will give you the base value

No, not at all. I'm saying that if your rapier of slaughter has less WD than your power armor, it sucks something fierce, as in "can it be closer to the min damage possible for one".

WD 40 is still under supmax, btw.

if you have OFC, axe should be as fast as rapier everywhere except Schoolgirl (where PA becomes necessary). Seriously, OFC pretty much makes clearing in general with 1H so fast that forging my rapier only improves my T&T time from 25m to 20m ....

However, axe lacks the parry that rapier gives, this where mixing plate/power of protection comes into play.

you can, but only because that stat existed already. you can't forge new abilities gained via item world

It's better to just stalk the WTB and equipment thread and offer the best price you're willing to pay. My rapier and my armor, for instance, weren't bought in auction.

The resist from leather can make the magic attack most likely do not trigger spirit shield. But the normal attack in Hellfest 900+ round give me some problem.

I tried using defend more extensively on DwD today, and I finished it with 4 SP and 8 MP pot

assuming no OFC, imo, if you really have to an axe will do, but a rapiers hv higher parry = more counters or less hits taken. however, Axes are a lot cheaper & higher damage.

also, i've look around a bit. you can still buy a decent rapier slaughter for 50-100k. it won't be ethereal/hallowed/demonic, but for other elemental it's about that price.

force shield with 37+% is about 50-100k.

Exq+ Power non-slaughter is about 10-20k/pc. So another 50-100k for a full set.

so you're looking at 150-300k total. though, a decent Shield is pretty important, then everything else can come latter.

ps. hv anyone actually tried 1H+shade for the hellfest? i'd imagine the evade is nice, but you're doing less damage&counters.
