Not really, nowadays, light is generally better for defense with evade, resist, and attack speed as defense stats. Heavy armor just offers PMI/MMI.

Attack speed is the most effective defensive stats since it lowers both the rate monster attack, and the rate monster generate MP/SP

And on high difficulty, you will need to keep Haste/SV/Protection/Spirit Shield up all the time, so Interference should be taken into account

I second this assessment. Personally I feel much safer tackling high difficulties as 1H light rather than 1H heavy, even if clearing speed is slower, since the extra layers of evade and resist are invaluable in helping to brush off strong monster attacks. Not to mention, light is way more mana friendly than heavy, which helps with potion usage somewhat.

Hey, what kind of levels of Scavenger, Luck of the Draw and Quartermaster should I have?

Or what should I train it to?

If you can't give numbers for this then what kind of ratios should I have on them?

I'm currently at 18 Scavenger, 7 Luck of the Draw and 4 Quartermaster.

Until you know what you want grind mostly on, try to keep the cost equal.

If you do most run on IWBTH or higher, LoTD and Quartermaster becomes better investment.

If you run things on Hell, Archeology is better. If you do Grindfest, Scavenger becomes okay, though you should get Crystarium 1 before putting more money on Scavenger.

Though considering your level, I'd say put money in LOTD and quartermaster.

Hey guys, is there a script or someway to train skills such as adept learner right away after it has finished? I'm trying to raise my adept learner as much as I possibly can.

As useful as it would be, a script like this would almost certainly be considered botting. I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to implement a timer of some sort (like the random encounter notifiers) to let you know when training is finished... but this would be about the legal limits of such a script.

If you were a dark/holy mage, and assuming equal staff quality, would you prefer Destruction or Fenrir/Heimdall suffix on a Katalox? I would assume Destruction would be more favoured since the MDB can be massive compared to the EDB from Fenrir/Heimdall, but to me it seems like Destruction and Fenrir/Heimdall are equally recommended. Am I mistaken in this?

A good destruction staff is much better than a fenrir/heimdall staff, but try to find one with a suffix, like shocking/demonic/whatever type of mage you are.

200k-300k, I suppose... 3PAB, and low ADB, but power slaughter is recently on the rise so you can fetch a good price in the auction. 3PAB power slaughter tends to make people go crazy on the bid regardless of ADB

Not really, there's already script to auto feed all monsters and auto shrine artifact so that won't be considered botting.

As for the auto-training script, someone already made it. I never used it so use it at your own risk

When you say "not playing HV", you'll need to still keep logging in and feeding the monster as well as dosing it with happy pills to keep receiving gifts.

I will log in but I just won't be playing.

Just get 8 crystal packs. That's enough for PL 600~700. Fully upgrade the gift chance and you should have daily gift.

Heath warming lantern is a special item from Christmas 2012 not from achieving Crystarium 3 or whatsoever

i've asked the same question couple pages ago.

The answer i got is focus on training up Luck of the Draw, so you'll get better Loot on IWTBH+ to sell/auction. Then repeat.

for a point of reference, mine is 28/13/8.

i play about 1-2hrs/day and usually end up ~1 Mag, a handful of useless Exq and a lot of Average/Fair/Crude. mostly, i play arena on BT & IWTBH starting from The Trio of Tree.

Though, is there a difference in loot drop of "first 50 rounds of The Trio of Tree" vs "50 rounds of End Game"?

Yeah, I have a decent Demonic Katalox of Destruction I picked up for my budget dark mage set. Was just wondering if I should've looked for a Fenrir staff instead. Thanks for the input.

I use this tool: [www.mediafire.com] HV drop training guesstimate-

In the orange tabs at the top, input your level of the respective training.
In the orange squares at the bottom, put in how much you made from vendoring equipments in the first column.
Follow the notes to match your artifact finding rate (or just put 1,0 if you want to ignore it)
Then put the price of artifacts if it has changed.

Then in the green squares, it will tell you how long it will take to make back your money marginally. So if you make 500 daily, and it cost you 100 to upgrade this rate from 500 to 505, it will put an output of 20 days.

You can use this to see what is most cost effective to upgrade.

A thing to note is that this only counts vendoring items, if you upgrade LotD, you also increase your chance to find that legendary phase that sells for 20 million and completely breaks the model.

edit: for other reference, I went 30 in scavenger, 10 in quartermaster, then I upgraded my LotD from around 10 to 24 (and am aiming for 25 now).

just curious, is Exquisite+ Cotton stuff auto savage material?

or is something like this Mag Onyx Cotton Shoes of the Elementalist worth something?

Does a critical hit negate evade and or parry by monsters? Are there any statistics/data that support this claim?

usually yes it's salvage material, unless there's a collector that wants a full cotton set, or it's prof cloth that has high prof roll, preferably with a good prefix.
