What translates into fewer monsters being able to resist spells? Does it come down to accuracy or MR?

What should i get next? I already got all the electric, holy,"soul and dark" spells i could get and all deprecating spells (excluding confuse). Should i spend APs in other spells to get their respective rating for a bit more mit or spirit tanks for spark of life?

QUOTE Do Power Saving, Power Regen, and Power Tank (under Training) have any direct impact on gameplay? In the Hentai Verse, Power Tank increases your forum power which increases your Spirit (1/7th of your power is added to your Spirit). This, however, is not significant enough to warrant training. So essentially they do nothing of value? God damn it! I want my credits back! The Hentaiverse Wiki really needs some sort of index page that links all of the other pages. There's loads of good information in it but I can never find what I'm looking for. I wish I'd found the FAQ page sooner (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I'm at the point where I am considering if it's worth it to keep using my heavy-armor set and try to reduce the effects of the weight or just level up in my mage gear and stay near 25 burden/low interference. Right now, using a worthless Wakizashi and a great Katana, I'm leveling easier than with the mage stuff. Maybe the hybrid fighting style is that good with that katana, or maybe my mage gear is absolutely worthless? Only 1 phase piece. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I'm probably going to just drop the pieces that don't have the most bang-for-their-encumberance-buck from the melee setup. for leveling, is it better to do cake item worlds where i can get up to like lvl 80 or so, or do a few quick normal lvl ones where i can only get to like 20? i'm talking for speed, i want to get to those high lvl and good rewards!!
also on a side note, when i reach lvl 50 should i try some of the RoB or just save my tokens for when i am a better lvl?

Try to get a lvl 200+ crude or flimsy quality item, then do the itemworld on easy. I find at around this level range, that's the most efficient way to earn exp. Cake gives too little exp, and normal, you'll spend too much effort trying to stay alive once you hit around round 30-40.

QUOTE(cmal @ Jan 13 2011, 22:11) I...er....LOL? Thanks for the link. I now need to rant and rave about this: Global Warming crits you for 4234 fire damage. ManBearPig in the Ring of Blood is unbeatable. As you can see I'm Ascended so can beat ManBearPig after 20 rounds in the Arena, but in the Ring of Blood he one hit kills me every time. Each time I have him poised and was running a Health Elixer and Regen but I rarely last more than a few turns (he beat me within five last time). I must be very unlucky or I'm doing things very wrong. It seems I'm going to have to save up five ability points for Bewilder in order to stop him savaging me.

Personally i don't think that the RoB version is different from the arena version.
Also why don't you have silence or bewilder or spark of life yet?
edit: you even have acces to silence and flame spikes, how can the manbearpig be that dangerious for you unless you are battletoading him.
edit2: people as low as lvl 50 have beaten meanbearpig in the RoB without using scrolls of life or gods

My item drop rate, when I was meleeing, was ~8.04-8.11% total. My item drop rate, now that I am maging, is now only ~7.25-7.42%. Does more rounds account for the drop in drop rate when everything that affects it has stayed the same?

He is! He's a beast! White Bunneh, Mithra and Dalek are all pushovers. I just tired and waltzed through the three of them with no effort. ManBearPig on the other hand is guaranteed death within a few turns! Edit: I realised that I've never beaten ManBearPig in the End Game Arena challenge. I've only ever won when it's been one of the other bosses, so he's invincible both in the Ring of Blood and the Arena QUOTE(hyl @ Jan 14 2011, 01:40) Also why don't you have silence or bewilder or spark of life yet?
I'm perpetually short of Ability Points and stuff like that seems to be of no use in the Arena or Item World. For that reason I concentrate entirely on my physical attacks and overcharge. QUOTE(hyl @ Jan 14 2011, 01:40) edit: you even have acces to silence and flame spikes, how can the manbearpig be that dangerious for you unless you are battletoading him.
I don't have access to anything like that. I just want to hit him with my axe. Spells are for pansy boys (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE(hyl @ Jan 14 2011, 01:40) edit2: people as low as lvl 50 have beaten meanbearpig in the RoB without using scrolls of life or gods
Don't mock me! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Seriously though, how do I beat him? What scrolls and spells would you recommend? I've got 12 item slots so that's enough to stay elixired for the whole battle. All I need is a way to stop him one shot killing me with Global Warming, since that's what happens every time. I'll reset my abilities just to beat him and then reset them again afterwards. It's become personal now and I have to take him down! This post has been edited by Frith: Jan 14 2011, 04:39

I think you just need to tough it out at that level range. I can't really give advice for a mage, since I also just turned myself into one, but when I was in 40s and 50s, I basically had two types of melee equipment sets going on. First was a niten + silk evasion set for arenas only. Highish two-hand + dual proficiency needed + suggested shield + weaken to survive the arenas with a big audience. Second was physical absorption set for item worlds. I got to about 18.9 physical absorb I think, but it allowed me do cake itemworld up to round 200 and easy itemworld up to round 100. Do the first if you want item drops, second if you want exp. Bring and use up your lesser mana potions to prolong your stay, you'll easily find more items to make up for the lost in potions. I also respec'd my ability tree and put everything into mana, hp, and exp tank, to get the heck out of that level range asap, but that's totally optional (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
