So I'm currently running a shade light armor with mace build, but the damage output really leaves a lot to be desired. Monsters simply live too long at higher difficulties making the longer arenas really difficult. I'm also having a tough time in arenas and hourly battles with any difficulty above nintendo since I'm guessing I am lacking in evade.

My question is whether a light armor and dual wield or a heavy armor and shield build would be best if my goal is to be able to complete the longer arenas at either IWBTH or PFUDOR? Which can go through them the fastest? Which can last longer/needs the least maintenance in terms of potions?

For longer arenas, I go with Heavy (Power) + 2h. For shorter arenas & half-hourlies, I go Heavy + 1h. Once I max out my 1h skill, I'm going to go Light (Shade) + Dual for awhile to try it out.

It really depends on your weapons/gear. If you have really nice stuff that is highly forged, anything goes.

though, i just realize i have a dozen chaos token. so should i:
1) upgrade my top monster's "double gift" chance, 8 tokens
2) unlock more monsters, 10 tokens.

I would choose monster slot until it cost less than 30.

It is also a server/seeder/exhibits torrent-like behavior, so you might want to look out if your hoster allows that too.

Unless you hammer server resources the majority of hosts won't even look twice at a VPS or dedicated server until they get complaints. You are very unlikely to get complaints from H@H as it only distributes to e-hentai and g.e-hentai and isn't web accessible in the normal sense (unlike a VPS/Dedi running with a domain). True it does have lolicon porn however I've yet to find definative proof that it is illegal in any country as most of the laws that could be used are yet to be contended in court. Those times the laws have been used it seems actual child porn was also present

Your evade is really low for a shade set - could you post the links of your armor? I've also found that 2H seems to suck bigtime compared to 1H and DW recently. I think it was silently nerfed (or 1H and DW were buffed a lot) in recent (read: last 6 months) updates. Your level is also pretty low so you want a build that will let you grind quickly. 1H with force shield and power might be your friend if you have the credits

my evade is about the same, i'm 40 levels above him and still thought it was decent (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)
furthermore i noted that between DW and 2H there's only 1 point difference...

you have 2 ways:
1) at the end of every battle kill all the monsters except 1 and spam weaken on him with all the mana you've left (mana pots included at your discretion); you can also start a single round on grindfest at the lowest difficult and flee when you're out of mana, still the proficency remains
2) assemble a mage set with a high deprecating prof staff and various mana-conserving armors and spam weaken as above; you don't need to optimize stats because it's only a temporary set; it's far more efficient than set 1 but you need to use an (extra) equipment slot
you will be able to gain imperil and silence in few days; magnet requires a bit more work but still doable with way 1
