Accuracy chaos upgrade in monster lab: does it give counter-evade when accuracy is above 100%? If not how much is enough to get 100% accuracy and what the point of extra levels?

QUOTE(assd123 @ Feb 6 2014, 16:35) got my first Leg and would like to ask if the one i got is worth something http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=d6de546b54Hate to say it but cotton is worthless. Any mage buys phase, any melee buys light or heavy... You might get a collector paying 20k for it but probably no more than that unless you're lucky

I have been playing the arena for a while and I noticed how hard it is for me to keep track on challenges with high number of rounds. In the end I have to always rely on Cure/Potions to survive until last round (sometimes even getting defeated...) Could anyone kindly give me an advice for this situation? Pretty sure I got a good gear (Ethereal weps + full heavy armor) so I have no idea what I'm missing or doing wrong. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Besides this, I also noticed some monsters have been parrying my attacks frequently, is there a way to avoid it?

Keep always Protection, Haste, Regen at least. If you feel too hard at the last part of an arena, try to use some deprecating spells like Weaken to enemies. And Shadow Veil would give some help you survive it, as well. 2. You should use buffs continuously to raise your supportive proficiency. The higher proficiency you have, the longer the buff spell's duration, and the lesser the spell's mana cost. 3. Do not rely on health potion. At low level you may rely on health potion because Regen's efficiency is low. But Regen is much better than health potion when you get 100~120 lvl+. Bring 1 health potion, and fill the rest slot with mana potions. Train Pack Rat to get more battle slots if you feel lack of the number of mana potions. 4. Is your heavy set all "of Protection"? Change them all to "of Protection" suffix if it's not. PMI is the most important defense factor at low level. This post has been edited by Cats Lover: Feb 6 2014, 18:08

same for debuffs, not to mention that raising debuff prof you unlock other useful spells like slow, silence and imperil... if you run out of potions, either train for another slot or rely on scrolls to cast a certain spell This post has been edited by Scremaz: Feb 6 2014, 18:08

1. Whenever I cast Protection and Haste at the start of the game about 1/4 of my mana is consumed away, so I can't really keep them always actived. Perhaps using more Mana potions it could be easily solved though... 2. Already do constantly with Protection/Cure, will try with others. 3. Is it better than using Cure/Potion? Regen is effectively useful at what tier? Never really used it to be very honest. 4. Everything except one piece, will work on it QUOTE(Scremaz @ Feb 6 2014, 18:01) same for debuffs, not to mention that raising debuff prof you unlock other useful spells like slow, silence and imperil...

Have you taken all the better mana pots and mana tanks? How about that better protection/haste/regen abilities? If you do, then keep on using them. As your proficiency goes up, the duration will increase and thus it will become more efficient.

1. you're a heavy, obviously it costs much to cast them, but have you slotted the ability MP tank? it should help you a lot; also remember to cast the most mana-consumpting spells in presence of channelling effect as much as possible (they would cost only 1 MP) or at least in Spirit Stance (cost reduced by 25%) 2. cure should be enough, eventually it would raise up little by little 3. Regen is very useful: it restores a certain % of your base health for a series of turns, so it will reduce the number of tiems you will cast Cure; you should use it on channelling effect as much as possible though QUOTE(Ryo75 @ Feb 6 2014, 17:16) It will take some time since I never used before, is there any other way to unlock it besides spam-casting deprecating spells?
you can equip a backup light armor set to do a hell round and thus spamming weaken as much as possible on one monster, and then cast a mana potion and repeat: you should raise your prof of about 1 point every time you end your potions; another way is to equip a mage set with a high-proficency deprecating staff (don't remember the suffix) and various 'of focus' armors, and then again spam weaken as if it was raining (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You can use spirit stance to decrease the spell's mana cost by 75%, especially for high cost spells like Regen and Heartseeker. You'll get Heartseeker later (maybe level 140), and I recommend you to use it on channeling. Use focus when you feel really lack of mana potions. QUOTE 3. Is it better than using Cure/Potion? Yes, you can't go far with Cure/Health Potion only. Cure is always your friend even you're at high level, but health potion is not. Just cast Regen continuously as I said. I can't say the exact point it gets useful, but it get better and better as your supportive proficiency increases and you get next tier 'Better Regen' ability. No. Refer here: http://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Advice#...g_Proficiencies

Another good thing about casting when Channeling is available... it increases the duration of the spell by 50%. For example, at my level & proficiency, Regen lasts 66 turns. With Channeling, it lasts 99 turns.
So it's sometimes worth it to recast the same spell when Channeling comes up, if all your other buffs are already active.

QUOTE(blue penguin @ Feb 6 2014, 16:10) I think this went without a reply
From my experie the mace (which you use already) is your best option, when I equip any other 2H weapon the monsters just rape me repeatedly on anything higher than nintendo. Yup, you do. 2H weapons have a burden high enough to hider your evade, a lot.
Then again, i mostly play 1H
currently, i'm trying different weapons. went back to DW and spend 2.5hrs @ nintendo to clear "Eternal Darkness". got around 10 shine drops and a bunch of crude to average drops. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) also, i just realize HV stat doesn't track "normal" shine drops.

Yes, all of them maxed on their current tier. Same with Protection and Haste, I will work on Regen now. I haven't unlocked it yet, but is it worth only when channeling is available? Got it, guess it's time to use more spells then. Thank you very much for the help guys, it seems I should be focusing on casting buffs and debuffs for now. But putting the spell part aside, is there anything I could do to improve my attacks? I already got ethereal weapons for void, as well stats/abilities upgraded properly. I heard Item World should only be done from lvl 250+ so I can't think of any other method to improve them, if there any to start with.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) i tried only once, but it seems stats doesn't matter so much since it's only a temporary buildup... the problem is that you neeed a dedicated equip set, while the other can be done with your current one every last round with the MP/potions you spared. for further details you should ask Dan31, it was him that suggested me QUOTE(Ryo75 @ Feb 6 2014, 19:33) I haven't unlocked it yet, but is it worth only when channeling is available?
Heartseeker is very useful, but also very expensive: it increases attack power and crit chance but has a base cost of 100MP, in your case it would be even more... lucky enough, it's also one of the most durable spells you got: with Channelling and a few AP spent it should disperde after 150-200 rounds or so (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) This post has been edited by Scremaz: Feb 6 2014, 20:49

If you're just leveling up depreciating, int doesn't matter. You'll get skill regardless of if the spell connects or not. The only thing that matters is that the cost of the spell relative to your base magic points. The higher the cost of the spell, the higher the chances are you'll get a skill up (http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Proficiencies#Gaining_Magic_Proficiencies). You also don't need to equip any +proficiency gear; doesn't matter if it misses or not, just have to cast it.
The only thing is that if your depreciating is very low to begin with, casting any spell even with like 50% mana conservation will give you a skill up. Thus, its more efficient to get a full set "frugal" armors with an "of focus" staff to try and skill up. As you gain proficiency and the chance of a skill increase decreases, it might become more efficient to drop the entire set of frugal/focus gear and just spam with a higher cost as your chances to get a skill up will increase then. But I haven't bothered to level my depreciating to the point where its anywhere near my cap so I couldn't tell you where this cross-over point is, if it exists.
Just go in something that doesn't have a huge about of interference and spam weaken in either normal grindfest or IW and just flee when you're out of mp + mp pots. You don't need to really optimize a setup just to get your depreciating high enough just to cast basic debuffs. It certainly helps but its not really needed.

Is there any recommended level at which one should make their first monster(s)? I feel like making one to enjoy the occasional gifts, but I'm concerned about not having enough crystals and food to keep up with its demands. I'm already running low on credits as it is. You probably have more important things to spend credits on right now. Alternatively, you can sell the crystals you find to other players, so it's really up to you.
