QUOTE(boulay @ Feb 5 2014, 11:57) Your key is going to be grinding 1h proficiency for awhile. Do an IW run on Normal (or Hard, if you feel up to it), then go back to your regular gear and do an Arena run on Hell or Nintendo to help burn off the "low difficulty penalty".

also, a weapon with 3PAB (especially the 23 points he lost with the gauntlets) could help him i think, am i wrong? This post has been edited by Scremaz: Feb 5 2014, 22:32

in the last page colman said 10% for exquisites, a few pages ago another user said about 20-25%... it seems that also training and forge level help, but still low remains...

Yeah, I guess I should. Haven't played one hand since lv30 ^^ QUOTE(Scremaz @ Feb 5 2014, 21:27) also, a weapon with 3PAB (especially the 23 points he lost with the gauntlets) could help him i think, am i wrong?
That too, I'll try looking for a better ethereal weapon.

you have monstruous burden and interference, another few shouldn't make too much difference (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) i'll lend you this axe for a few days, try it and let me know... maybe a rapier would have been better for penetrated armor, but i don't own a good slaughter one... Personally, I think (given his currently very low 1h Proficiency) a good Club is in order. And I'm not just saying that because I have one for sale (cheap!) in my shop. Definitely go with an Elemental or Ethereal weapon though. The extra damage is really helpful.

new stats with your axe Pretty true for burden and interference, that's probably plate armor's biggest problem. The force shield adds some interference too...

good, that means he'll have more choices... i suggested him an axe or a rapier because i knew that the stun effect is given by the counterattack, isn't it so?

A club is not worth investing in. As soon as he got to 100 prof (or in my case, level 300 with 0 prof) , club will become obsolete. Rapier generally is the best all around. It gives parry, which supplements his lack of block, and PA which makes focus killing a breeze. Axe can be good, but he'd need OFC (ie. having ~1.3m to spare) or at least FRD (lv 300+) to make it work. Plus he'd need a bit of block to make up for the parry loss from not wearing rapier (the 15-20% parry bonus from the rapier can make a huge difference between facerolling and forced to spam cure) But frankly, 1H is the style you'd pick up when you start to have some money (to spend on rapier and power set), and wish to do PFUDOR. Low level players are better off with 2H mace, it still works pretty well on low difficulty, and it works well with plate/leather. This post has been edited by holy_demon: Feb 6 2014, 00:08

Yeah, the rapier would be nice too. I've started raising my prof, I'm testing an exotic composition: 1H+Force Shield+Shade of negation I must say that it looks pretty good for now, both on paper and during arenas (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

let go that club on offhand and try to find a rapier or at least a shortsword, something with another effect and possibly more chance to happen; search a foot equip of a similar quality than the others; augment END, for a meele it should stay less or more equal to STR; also augment AGI and lower INT, your character is a heavy, raw person who can't do anything but throw punches (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) abilities seem to be properly slotted, but check from time to time what you can add just to start (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE(boulay @ Feb 5 2014, 23:10) Yeah, the rapier would be nice too. Don't bother with Item Worlds until you hit ~250 at least. Chew on Grindfest if you run out of Arenas. #2. See Wolfgirl for some free stuff. #3. I'm sending you some armor that I know won't sell in my shop.

Anyway that's a good idea, since shade price is cheap now, and it provides both resist and attack, both of which 1H is lacking. It might not be the best option of fast clear (2nd best after power - even power protection/balance will clear faster than shade, due to no evade + higher crit/attack) but shade is good for tanking your way through hard arena. it also helps to reduce mana drain and give nice boosts to resist and evade... This post has been edited by Scremaz: Feb 6 2014, 00:23
