Well, I still need a 2H for a light armor set as well. Ethereal in general for weapons.

For shade set, ethereal weapon is a must, because shade user do not want to greatly reduce their evade. When I use heavy or leather, I do not really care about the burden, as long as burden is below 75. This post has been edited by Colman: Jan 12 2014, 14:04

It's not only about the burden. Ethereal weapons deal void damage monsters have no resistance against. Mage will prefer elemental prefixes for the bonus magic damage.

QUOTE(alearg @ Jan 12 2014, 02:29) I shouldn't bother with the monster lab until I'm higher level, right?
Spend all your chaos on PL25s at least until you've got drop trainings more than halfway up.

Should not raise more than 1 monster unless you have either time ,money or regular incomes.(H@H,cookie or donation).

I disagree for the guy in question.
Raising monster from PL25 to, say, PL400 does make it bring more gifts, but the crystal cost is disproponate - and as a low level, he has better spending options(trainings) and chaos to split his crystals between monsters.
If you were to raise 1 monster for HG mats instead of low level army for bindings, that is a different story, but doesn't apply here.

Personally I would go with at least 1 HG Bringer so he can build up a stock! This will save millions once he has something worth upgrading.
But just one mob is not enough since the chance for a useful Binding is silly low so he needs a lot of low bobs too. Keeping the mobs alive should be a trivial task if you spend some Crystals for Monster Motivation.

Speaking of Ichy's mobs ... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) I hope you enjoy some of the mats brought to you because I was quickly tapping the number pad and not paying attention until two strokes too late. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE(Twilight Sparkle1998 @ Jan 12 2014, 02:56) I tried my best in Item World but unfortunately I can't even finish it, I always die on the last 5 rounds. I can't even do it on Nightmare difficulty. Does any of you have some sort of strategy to accomplish Item World since some people do IW Service here.
Depends on your gear... what are you using?

QUOTE(Black Dynamite @ Jan 13 2014, 03:52) I would personally keep it. to elaborate: heavy armor doesn't come with Agi anymore, which adds to PMI. So you could say that old plate is better than new plate. You don't find old plate anymore, and heavy might hopefully make a comeback in the next patch. If you decide to sell, wait until heavy gets good again. But don't destroy such a nice piece. This post has been edited by treesloth16: Jan 13 2014, 00:48

QUOTE(Black Dynamite @ Jan 12 2014, 10:52) you can try to sell it, but i think it's hard to get fair market on armor +cost of materials / bindings invested. If you have a replacement, probably better off salvaging.

I don't think you should bother trying to IW anything at your level, especially if you can't even finish it at Nightmare. It will take too many runs to level up the equipment and by the time you do finish levelling up, you would most likely have outgrown that piece of equipment. Play the Arena and RE at the highest level of difficulty that you can manage to quickly level your character.

Train up Pack Rat a bit. The extra potion slots help with everything. Also, don't bother with IW yet.

the only thing worth IW is a lvl 10 ethereal weapon since it adds a bonus elemental strike to it. well that and high quality legendary/peerless class armor/shield.

As the IW become much shorter now, many more gears become worth IWing. e.g.: good elemental weapon. Many mid-level player want to upgrade their weapon but cannot do IW by themselves nor cannot afford an ethereal weapon. There should have market for maxed elemental weapons. I think the problem with the mid market for an IW10 elemental weapon is that most people would probably charge at least 300k for the IW10 alone. And most people that could shell out 300k for a weapon will likely be able to IW10 the weapon themselves.
That said, I'd personally IW10 any good elemental weapon (probably high exquisite or magnificent with the stats I want).

Hi guys, I have a question about Magnet and Slow.
If I cast Slow on a monster, then cast Magnet on the same monster, how do the two speed reductions get combined?
According to my ability chart, if I cast slow, the inflicted monster's speed will be reduced by 50%. If I cast Magnet, the inflicted monster's speed will be reduced by 25%.
So if I cast both Slow and Magnet on a single monster, how much will its speed get reduced by?
Last question; when I fight a hard boss, should I use both Slow and Magnet? I'm a mage.
Thanks very much!
