QUOTE(auroras @ Dec 26 2013, 15:22) Is there a 2h melee guide? I've already read the play style and advice pages on the wiki. I feel like i'm floundering and not leveling at an optimal speed due, perhaps, to my subpar gear, build, and grinding selection. I'm currently grinding the first 6-10 levels of grindfest on Nightmare/Battletoad and then fleeing, restoring mana, and repeating. I usually use regen and protection and supplement with cure as needed, but it's a pretty high mana cost to keep enchantments running and focusing seems like an exercise in futility (waste of stamina). [ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/RDefVX4.pngFocusing is a pretty niche activity, so don't worry about that. You should, imo, ALWAYS have regen/protection/SoL/SS/haste on. Especially since you appear to be light, and light has much lower interference than heavy. Part of the problem is simply that your lower level doesn't have any support proficiency to really make those last a while. As posted above me, use potions. You'll soon be getting more than you know what to do with. I've sent you 100 to keep you supplied for a bit, and if you are in need of any equipment keep poking around WTS for some okay newbie stuff. If you want to purchase decent+ equips, there are good shops for that, too, and I might be able to help. All in all, just post if you need help.

Thankssssss! As you can see in the picture below I currently have a 100k budget. QUOTE(treesloth16 @ Dec 27 2013, 17:11) Show us your current gear, ie weapon and armor. I will send you some weapon and light gear for free, instead of salvaging/bazaaring.
[ imgur.com] Auroras' HV gearI think as far as leftover/budget gear my stuff isn't horrible, probably my next step is to start putting in legendary/mag shade armors? Separately: what is the point of monster lab? I created a monster, I think he's pl 50 something, but he's never won a battle. This post has been edited by auroras: Dec 28 2013, 08:22

Good luck getting Magnificent/Legendary Shade armor... I've been trying, but the stuff I find is either unimpressive (hardly better than my Exquisite) or I get outbid like crazy.
On a different subject... it seems like my Stamina goes down faster when I'm using my 2h & Power set than when I'm using my DW & Shade set. Is it just my imagination, or is it 'cause I do all the small Arenas with my DW & long (60+ rounds) Arenas with my 2h set?

Well, I guess exquisite or superior will be fine then :-)

A question to the ones who clears Hellfest often: How much Credit do you usually get from one successful Hellfest? (Excluding the 5000C Clear Bonus)

40-50k cash; 30-50k from bazaar sup- gears; 23-28k crystals. (crystal hath perk 3) 3-14 (average ~6) artifact. P.S. It is a rough estimation, I did not take record of any, besides crystals drop. This post has been edited by Colman: Dec 28 2013, 09:19

Scavenger training has a large role in determining the actual amount I think. How much Scav do you have? Maxed?

I think monsters' PL (up to 15% drop chance bonus) is more important than Scavenger Lv (up to 2.5% drop chance bonus). So higher level player generally get more drop.
BTW, Scavenger 43/50 Luck of the Draw 23/25 Quartermaster 16/20 Archaeologist 8/10

no worries! also, like I said, until you find an ethereal mace, you can featherweight/voidseeker shard the one I sent you. or you can itemworld to level 10(which gives it void strike), but I don't think it's worth it. good luck!

It suddenly became difficult to quickly clear the arenas on hell (mouse macro spam and manual control support magic and spirit stance), killing has become slower and I get significantly more damage than before. What am I doing wrong? (Sorry if my english is bad.)

While I do agree that Slaughter is better... Ethereal is better still, in most cases.

What am I doing wrong? (Sorry if my english is bad.) Hello there fellow Ethereal Mace User! First off, my gear is Exquisite with only the Weapon and Gloves as magnificent. So your gear is actually okay, what has changed is... your level. You are now lv 206 (202 in pic) and because of that, you now face unlimited PL enemies. This happened the arena after you hit 200, and that is why you are suddenly finding hell mode more difficult. If you pay attention you will sometimes encounter monsters from the Top50 list. For speed runs, I suggest you drop difficulty to Hard or Nightmare.

Even if you drop the difficulty its still the equivelent of hell I am only level 98, and I managed to make it to floor 400 before I completely ran of magic and potions. I am waiting till I get a ethereal rapier of slaughter or vampire before I make another run thru.

You information is outdated. Level 200 player will not face the strongest mobs. Though I agree that player will face stronger mobs with higher level. Leather of protection is alright. If Mag leather is not sufficient, switch to Leg leather of protection. They are cheap anyway. This post has been edited by Colman: Dec 29 2013, 03:43

Yes, you should upgrade your gear, but you won't be able to afford mag+ stuff right now. Also get better leggings. "Of Warding" is pretty useless as a suffix. If you want to keep leather in that slot, look for "Of protection". QUOTE(auroras @ Dec 28 2013, 01:22) Separately: what is the point of monster lab? Your monster will bring you gifts, regardless of battles won, but will certainly bring you more of them and faster if it's good enough to win battles. Even a PL50 monster can bring a rare (i.e. crystallized phazon/shade fragment/repurposed actuator), or a binding (i.e. Binding of Slaughter), all of which are worth pretty good money. In a hundred levels or so you should be able to afford getting the monster to a decent PL.
