How is drain spell good? I see lots of enchantsments for it in ability tree, tried it once - didn't like...

I'm a light-armored two-handed mace'er.

Generally it's for mage to regain either spirit or mana (need to proc Ripened Soul or Soul Fire by casting dark/holy spell respectively). As melee, you can regain mana by focus. Then to regain spirit, cast corruption, then drain on the proc'd monster.

Note you have to put APs into the ability tree, then place the ability into your APs setup.

probably your routing to the e.hentai.org website (based in europe) is not good. Can I guess that you live in the northwest USA?
Some scripts like HVStat slows things to a crawl. I use Keybinds for maging, and there's no slowdown whatsoever.

Northeast actually(jersey to be exact). I doubt that HVSTAT is the problem since i don't remember ever going over 2t/s before i installed it a few months back.

if i had to guess it's either the routing(as you suggested) or the fact that i'm using chrome. guess i'll switch to firefox and see if it makes a difference


but back to things that actually matter: i know ether theft is a waste of ability points for melee, but is spirit theft actually viable?

EDIT: i currently do not own a reaction image to describe how fast the turns are on firefox(when it comes to HV anyway) so this one will have to do

Well it's not useless. But it's tough if you have high interference, cuz if it doesn't proc, then you've wasted mana.

Spirit Theft is completely viable IF you are willing to jump through several hoops:

You need some way to proc Ripened Soul (mana costs, magic accuracy and such).
Trading mana for spirit likely involves you using Focus a bunch. Might be boring.

Spirit theft is pretty good for 1H+Light. When your defence is high enough to recover mana by focusing you have unlimited mana, and then when you add spirit theft to it you end with unlimited spirit as well. That was the only way I found to finish hellfest.

And yeah, it's super slow and boring doing it that way...

use it when you have mana overflow from gems / mana potions. When you get to the point where you can kill things fast enough, you'll be getting more mana gems than you need even after using the overflow to rebuff.

amount gained also depends on how full the mob's spirit bar is.

But IMO, Heavy Burden are not desired in DW style.

I used ethereal weapons to keep my burden below 70 so I won't get crit penalty. I can live with the attack speed penalty. Full plate is actually harder to manage and some crit will have to be sacrificed.

Yes, I use Spirit Theft to recover SP for keeping infinite spirit stance.
With 200+ dark proficiency to use Ragnarok, and 300 level to get Ripened Soul lv2.
They give almost 100% chance to utilize Spirit Theft (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

FYI, my total tickets spent should be over 1000 but I have never got any price. You cannot expect much from just 100 tickets.
