Which arenas are worth doing at these difficulties if aiming for good gear (if your time was limited, which would be the highest priority)?
Trio and the Tree and all arenas below that at PFUDOR difficulty End of Days 110 round arena at IWBTH difficulty Eternal Darkness 125 round arena at Battletoads difficulty A Dance with Dragons 150 round arena at Hell difficulty (I'm waiting till I finish IWing one of my items before I attempt Nintendo or higher)

I've been doing IWBTH End of Days and TT quite often, IWBTH Eternal Darkness twice. Best gear i get so far is this from End of Days, the rest exquisite and superior (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Just don't get your hopes too high, even players with max lotd doing daily Puff DWD are complaining because they get exquisite too often as Arena clear bonus (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by revsex: Oct 18 2013, 05:04

Hey, guys n gals, when you are fighting in the Item World to stat up an item, does the difficulty matter? Or can you just breeze through them on normal and get the same basic level up calculations and stuff?
Like, for instance... The Fatality potency. I got a weapon to level 1 on normal difficulty, and it gave me I think 2.00 crit attack damage. Would that be higher in a higher Item World difficulty?

You fight the same number of rounds per IW run whether you do it in normal or IWBTH, except you have to fight many, many, many more runs in normal mode to max level the equipment vs 13 runs in IWBTH but the potency remains the same regardless of the difficulty.

QUOTE(zen_zen @ Oct 18 2013, 02:32) What's there to know, the point of forging crude equipment is to lessen the impact of forging has on your purse. You can find the price of any binding from the Item shop bot and the cost for low grade materials, you just need to pick the lowest costing option.
The only reason for increasing your forge level is to be able to recover up to 90% of bindings and materials from an equipment to be salvaged, instead of 80% for those with no forge experience. Forging a crude equipment might be the most cost effective method to gain forging experience, but in order for you to get to the 90% recovery rate will still require a very significant amount of credits. I have forged 65 times on 4 pieces of equipment and I am only at Forge Lv4, Novice. I have no idea where I am at on the recovery scale but I don't care, I am forging to make my equipment better and not just for the sake of gaining forging experience.
My purpose to increase the Forge level is to make upgrade limit higher, not to salvage return chance (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) My Forge lvl is now only Lv7 though.

Wow, you have some pretty lofty aspirations. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) What, 100 Physical Damage upgrades? Man, that seem so out of reach - I haven't even had a sniff at a Binding of Slaughter yet. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

Fortunately Nimble and Barrier are cheap, though one level upgrade needs 5 High Grade materials now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I am not at the point where I require more HG than MG metal, if I get to that point I'll go for a binding of slaughter instead. So, what's a 1H user's rapier like? I am using this Slaughter Rapier contrary to recommended Balance rapiers, simply because it's what I have. I have a few candidates lined up for IW but until one of them gets leveled up, the Slaughter will have to do. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I think there is no great difference between rapiers of 1H Heavy and DW Light. Well... potency preference would be some issue (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Like Heavy prefer Butcher/Fatality to the others, and Light prefer Swift Strike to the others, and 1H don't need Overpower, etc...

Shade Shadowdancer vs Leather Protection, which one will have a easier time with 50+ rounds Arena on Phudor?
