QUOTE(julio123 @ Dec 9 2010, 07:43) i have 17 points in int and it was because i didn't know what i was doing but others added as melee class is there a way to fix this?
From the wiki: QUOTE Q: Is there any way to reset experience spent on primary attributes? A: No. But be at ease. You will need int later on and it isn't overly expensive considering how fast attribute costs scale. I'm a fighter myself and just spent 11 points on int, because it was this much cheaper than wis. And even as a fighter you need mana (wisdom is the better mana stat) for spells like shield, weaken and cure. Don't neglect all magic just because you are a fighter. It sounds strange, but spells like these make your life so much easier.

Within the past 20 levels, Mobs have been doing seemingly disproportionate amounts of damage, even on normal mode and in the early stages of the Grindfest. For example, Amphibious Sperm Whales often do 60 damage per hit (even on normal mode), which is more 1/10 my maximum HP. Is that just the way it goes, or is there another reason (am I doing it wrong)?

I think that you must improve equipment more though I don't understand what happens to your status. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) An ideal battle pattern is "knock down all enemies by one-shot". I scatter them with AE. Or, I equip a shield, or I equip the expensive gear of Evade, and evade attack. Edit: It suffers the damage of about 1000 by 1 turn if even the degree of difficulty normal exceeds 100 round when it is IW of the Exquisite gear. (It is 1/3 of my HP.) Yes, this is normal. My character gets hit in the 60-100 range fairly often when I go through arenas, and in grindfests on Normal, I oftentimes get hit for 40+ after a few rounds (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) My most favorite way to get lots of experience is to play Cake difficulty on an Item World with >200 rounds and play through the entire Item World....fully equipped in Heavy Armor with shield and rapier. I'm able to clear most Item Worlds on Cake using this method (but the Superior and Exquisite item worlds are not able to be completed yet due to the fact that they hit fairly hard late in the Item World). I also beat several of the lower quality Item Worlds (Fair, sometimes Average) on Easy using this method. I just tank them and I'm usually able to get through long item worlds using this method, but this method is NOT GOOD for any diffuclty other than Cake. ---------------------------------- I have a need for some help: I've currently been training Scavanger, Quartermaster, and Archaeologist, as well as Adept Learner, but I've been wondering a few things: 1. Are the Karma trainer skills worth buying? 2. At what Level Quartermaster do you begin to notice a noticeable change in the amount of equipment you get per round(s)? 3. What other trainer skills are worth investing in? Thanks for the help, Razorflame This post has been edited by Razorflame: Dec 10 2010, 20:05

Karma is useless. Everything other than the item, XP, and "slot" trainings are useless.

Quick question: I've unlocked my 5th aura slot and am considering getting the violet aura, but I might go for the blue one. Does the magical hit chance (+5.0) improve the chances of de-buffs hitting the enemy?
Another reason why I'm considering getting it is for the 2% soul rating, which I'm assuming will make my spirit attack slightly stronger.

If by QUOTE(Moe Zayik @ Dec 10 2010, 18:12) de-buffs hitting the enemy? you mean not being resisted, then yes. Accuracy is accuracy. There's no secondary resistance to deprecating spells.

Yes I do. Thanks, I'll pick violet. I asked because I thought it applied to offensive elemental spells only. This post has been edited by Moe Zayik: Dec 11 2010, 01:32

Whoops! Sorry about the double-post :/What about the trainer things that increase item drops such as Loot, Equipment, and Artifacts...those are most certainly useful, I think....but yeah, I've only been focusing my training time on Adept Learner, Quartermaster, Archeologist, Scavenger, Luck of the Draw, Packrat, and possibly ability boost....those are the only ones I'm really putting a lot of points into...(especially Adept Learner...Level 38 and climbing) This post has been edited by Razorflame: Dec 11 2010, 09:17

go through all your arenas each day, clearing an arena gives a roll at an arena token clear bonus (separate from the regular item clear bonus, you can get a clear token and a clear item from the same arena). Other than that just lots of IW/grind round will eventually net you some but arena clears are your best shot.

Yeah, this was what I was leaning towards in terms of finding them. Come to think of it, I think that I've found 3 of the 5 Tokens of Blood that I've found from Arenas...so I'll keep doing all my arenas every day to keep my chances of getting more higher (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) THanks for the help!

Just finished End of Days on Heroic difficulty and it took me about 9 hours to complete, although I did take breaks.
I'm just wondering if there's a faster way to do this as a mage? I was using all heaven-sent gear so I received about +160 bonus to divine spells and my divine proficiency was at 184 before going into the arena. Banish was doing damage in the 7,000s on average, the highest I was able to get banish to do was around the 15,000s with nerf, channeling, and arcane focus. This was if I was lucky enough to score a critical hit.
Beyond going through for the first time bonuses, it doesn't seem likely for me to go through End of Days again unless there's a faster method that I'm not aware of. I know some people go through this arena everyday and on much higher difficulties to boot, so is there a better strategy that I can use?

Since the change in trophy drop rates, I have only done legendary arenas once for the clear bonus. Depending on what equipment you have, you may be able to do a little more damage alternating holy and dark attacks, but it probably won't be fast enough to be worth doing.

Here's a question, if you're going to answer, let's pretend you're melee for a moment... (IE: you're constantly under attack, next to nothing Elemental rating) How would you weigh the importance of Magic defense VS Physical defense in general situations? The simplified question would be ... "How much Resist do you need to trade for 1 Parry?" If both were of equal amounts, I would choose Parry without much hesitation, and I think most people would probably do the same, but I have a hard time deciding otherwise...
