You should get back 3 of 4 Binding of Slaughter you used, no Binding of Ox since you can't get back a fraction. It's going to be costly no matter what - 140k for a slaughter binding, up in smoke. But it's a damned if you do or damned if you don't, because that Mace you have decided to forge was a poor choice to begin with.

If you have zero forging experience, you can't lose anything. If you have been forging your current equipments then you will lose those forging experiences whether you salvage your own or someone else's forged equipment. Btw, an equipment that's been leveled to Lv10 Max do not necessarily mean that it's been forged.

this is combo to get leg. quarter=>max LoTd=>max difficulty=>max
but if scavanger is low then it's useless.scavanger add 2% drop change and base drop is 10% so lvl 40 scavanger add around 90%drop change (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
lvl 10 scavanger only add 30% drop change (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

explanation when we us IWTB then monster become more dangerious and loot also become more good than normal.
well. . . . rough ex:
you need more turn to kill higher difficulty monster because monster got bigger HP. so change to get more prof will increase as well. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) but it's doesnt mean you got bonus prof for that.

normal monster =>1 hit kill=>change to get prof 1 times
IWTB monster =>20 hit kill=>change to get prof 20 times

Killing has very little to do with the question. I'm thinking about hopping in my shittiest item world (not the one you just sent me, wolfgirl, I've had much shittier for days, hence the low, low target in the wtb thread :v ) on normal and holding down defend til I stop sucking at heavy armor.

e: oh, not quite that simple. not hard to work around but kinda pricy. Probably better off just killing something than spamming supportives to little effect.

Say, you bought/got a drop of quip which only has two or three PAB. If you add other PAB through forging before doing IW run, so that your quip now has complete 4 PAB, does it prevent your quip getting PA potency?

it only for weapon and staff , gear cannot gain missing PAB (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

PA is rapier and estoc main power (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'm doing a good job as a mage i believe so far. Went through about 150 or 160 levels in Grind s few weeks ago but couldn't muster up the determination to try myself again now.

But i'm really itching for the 2nd tier elemental spells that won't show up still even though i'm lvl 85. Does anyone know when they should be showing up?

Another thing that bugs me regarding equipment drops, do the chances of higher level/tier/quality equipment increase as i'm leveling up and they become more frequent?
Does the "loot quality" thing also affect equipment?

Also, anybody have any further tips for me?

Your proficiency for elemental is lower than required for tier 2 spells. For grinding spells (if necessary) I recommend getting a low quality crude cotton item and doing item world (and exiting before completing) on high difficulty.

I have looked at the wiki in spell proficiencies but the whole table is lost on me.
I am base 54 (which is the one that counts as far as i understand) as far as i can see, and the prof. field in the wiki table says 50/500.
May i ask an elaboration on this because i am lost regarding what it means?
What proficiency level am i supposed to aim at?

Sell your Binding of the Ox, there are plenty of people in WTB looking to buy most bindings for a good price. You can check with the Item Shop Bot to get the maximum ceiling for the item's value at the moment, then save or spend the credits on something else.
