QUOTE(TheGreyPanther @ Jul 10 2013, 14:33) So if overcharge still add to damage then soul stones still have a use?
Don't know about skill damage, but soul stones are retired I believe.

QUOTE(Yuuki17 @ Jul 10 2013, 22:55) Don't know about skill damage, but soul stones are retired I believe. Yes, they are retired. Retired mean that they no longer drop but that doesn't matter to me as I have 180 of them. Repeat my question: Does overcharge increase skill damage still?

By itself, no. But you need overcharge to use spirit stance, it consumes 10% every turn (but you still accumluate it at the normal rate). It also consumes 1 spirit evry turn. The spirit stance will increase your skill damage.

There was a time when additional OC beyond the amount required to activate your skill added to that particular skill's damage (and quite substantially, at that). I believe TheGreyPanther was referring to that when he asked whether it was still the case. Regardless, your answer is correct, of course - OC beyond that needed to activate the skill (+10 for SS) does bupkis now. Heck, there was a time when OC added to physical melee damage, period. IIRC.

I haven't even come across a monster with more than 76k health. Oh, and this was IWBTH RE, and it was with spirit stance on. Solar

just a reminder: Note that all items that have been retired and no longer drop, EXCEPT for old trophies/artifacts, will soon be removed from the game. This includes retired pots and other consumables, as well as unused materials and crystals. So you may want to sell or use them before that time.

Should I care about my monsters? I don't really care about materials and initially got them just because I had to do something with my crystals and tokens but now they are annoying so should I just leave to them to be unhappy and starve until I want to get materials?
Also, do they die?

You can certainly leave them to be unhappy and starving. They won't die, but they will stop showing in battle in 0.77. They won't hold mats if they hit 0 morale though, you'll have to start over on that front when you feed and drug them to start them up again.

A monster will appear in players battles so long as it is PL 25+ and has a name. You can encounter your monster in battle provided it's PL is within the range of what you will fight. The power level of monsters you face increases exponentially after 100 (so you could face it on normal at about level 108, on higher difficulties sooner).
It also appears to other players who are in the appropriate level range (it is the pvpish mechanic of the game).
Depending on how well you build your monster can change how often you get gifts, but it is mostly luck. You can check them whenever though, there does not appear to be any penalty for over-checking them (there used to be). Though you should check every couple of days as if there are more than 3 gifts, the extras are lost.

Monsters can hold up to 6 gifts, assuming you've got some levels of scavenging.
