Well I used to mage and I suggest switching to melee heh.

Are you using ether theft at every single opportunity? It makes a massive difference especially since the buff to the stacks and the 'if you kill the target you automatically get it' buff. If you need extra mana, you can also use focus to regenerate a little bit. You shouldn't have an issue on low difficulties about the damage taken so streamline your buffs to the bare minimum (haste and regen should work for 50 rounds, then add in protection or shadow veil.

That's my problem: I do that but the problem becomes that I need to drop either a T3 spell at the start of every turn to get the enemies down or I'll use T1 spells in equal amounts. The thing is very close and takes far longer than before the recent patch because now I need to play to conserve my mana at every single opportunity.

And proccing ether theft in that is half the time essentially impossible. And no, damage is not a nonissue on lower difficulties, I can still die in a round or two if like 4 or 5 monsters use abilities particularly in the later rounds. That's not the problem though: my problem is not having enough mana as I can't one shot them with lower tier spells and even with higher ones it doesn't always happen.

It's essentially a gamble: it all depends on how many mana gems I get, but you know, trying to level up a legendary staff I'd have to do many IWs to even get a single level up, meaning it will take a very very very long time plus the rewards are pretty meager.

Aside from visible stats, do longsword have penalty that other weapons do not have?

I saw somebody giving away a free longsword that seems to be a lot better than my weapon. Its already taken though.

Likewise, do Katana have advantage other than being dual handed?

Nah, longswords have no penalty other than they lose to katanas and scythes in all the ways that matter when it comes to possible maxes for stats.

Katana can be used for Niten Ichiryu fighting style, which gains no profs when used but is katana+wakisashi. It is not very popular. As a 2h weapon katanas tend to be inferior to scythes in all the ways that matter.

Aside from slot, dmg, and gear type, there are no secrets about gears;— it's all about the stats & numbers.

cek your HDD first , it maybe have alot bad sector (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

try disable hardware acceleration and page composition options in chrome//flags and disable flash in chrome//plugins (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i have similiar problem before with chrome ( + waiting for cache ) , the source of this problem is my HDD (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

after i replace it with new HDD , everything solved (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

use it , even with zero evade you still can evade mobs atk (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yes, it's possible. The chance isn't too great though. If I had to put a number on it, maybe 15-20%? That might be too generous.

depend on how high PXP of that gear and your " luck " (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

even superior can bring HG but i never do that myself ( you need max pxp for superior and very high luck )

Somewhat. EDB is not bad. AGI on a piece is always nice. INT and WIS aren't horrible, but it suffers the ailment of being elemental phase. Elemental spells are just not very popular with mages. Good news: That is something I want. I'll give you a pretty penny for it, and I'll leave the offer here so the other thread people can tell you you won't be getting ripped off.

Really? I thought all the mages were complaining that elemental was better than dark/holy or something like that.
