Well, I'm looking for feedback on stats/equip as I'm not sure if this is good or bad or what I should be getting. As well I'm Mage.

You need to boost Agi, it raises your action speed (not anymore, I think) and gives you more evade. Some Dex can be useful for Parry, too. Str is useless, but it still raises your spirit point, so put a few points in it anyway.

Regarding equipment, try to get a set of Phase of either Surtr, Niflheim, Mjolnir or Freyr. Use some Gossamer of the Elementalist if you are missing some pieces. PABs to aim for are Int and Wis in priority.

is it worth it to salvage crappy phase/shade/power armors? do they have a chance to give their respective rare materials? or is it better to just sell them at the bazaar?

No rare materials, just low/mid/high base material.

Only low/mid/high-grade base materials can be directly acquired this way.

Agility adds evade and PMI, I have 255 compared to 290 intelligence. Dexterity adds parry chance, so add some of that too, though it doesn't need to be as high as agility.
Well, an all phase set of one element suffix would be best of course. You've got various suffix's on your armor, demon-fiend and heimdall do nothing for an elemental, aside from the stat increases and such.
If you use ice element then you'd ideally want to get all niflheim phase armors. Second choice probably being elementalist gossamer.
I'm not really sure how the stats are for ebony staff anymore, it's okay I'd say, but it could be improved too..

Appreciate the input! wasn't too sure on specific equipment as I was primarily looking into stats but elemental looks like the choice I'll go to. Thanks!

Just raised Depreciating Proficiency from a low of 10 to 30. Like others have mentioned in this thread, after hitting 30% Prof., Blind and Imperil became available.

Does anyone have an idea at what proficiencies Confuse and more importantly Silence become available?


Tried checking the wiki but some of the proficiency numbers seem to be a little off.

1. Is doing item world worth the time to upgrade your weapons? It's hundreds and hundreds of rounds for what eventual stat boost or per level boost?

2. When you do item world, can you pick what is leveled up (ex: Butcher Lvl 2) or is it random?

Worth it provided the weapon or armor is quite good. You really wouldn't want to dedicate the time for IW when you could easily find something to replace what you have.

Random, but with amnesia shards you can reset.

Mages still garbage?

Hello, I was wondering about intelligence on melee characters. The advice page on the wiki says to keep it .8*level but I don't see the reason to put points into intelligence at all. Can anyone give me an explanation? Also another thing, I have a 89.4% hit chance with a club of slaughter and rapier of balance and 60 dex. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Concentrate on Arenas. When you get to level 200+, you unlocked the Trio & the Tree & the School Girls marathon which will give you even more experience & credits. Do IW only if you're sure you are going to stick with your weapon for a very, very long time or your weapon is "very good".

Also, read this:

Sure you can do DW regardless of your weapons' quality (as long as it's not under Fine). That's really up to you. With some luck, you'll probably find something way better - sooner or later.

The artifact drop rate (drop/rounds) is similar for me compare to 0.75. The only problem is that I am forced to play at Hell+ to prevent drop rate nerf, and the drop gears are non-usable.

Now mages are only slightly faster than melee instead of many times faster.
