How many rounds is typical on IWBTH through grindfest for someone around lvl 300? How do mage, light, heavy, dw, and 2h compare approximately as for how many rounds is normal.

I wouldn't use that staff personally. Even if it does have a great MC roll, it's still 1 PAB Fine Willow. Take a quick look through WTS, there should be some cheap Willoq or Katalox Focus staves running around (and perhaps some cheap Fenrir upgrades too). As you've noted, decent Phase is far more prevalent now. The Exquisite Willow is a lot better, but I'd keep looking around a bit.

For example, you should be able to get this fairly cheap (as it's vanilla Superior Katalox), and it won't screw your damage as hard as the Fine (you'll lose about 180-190 MDB, but the increase in Prof and Dark EDB should offset most of that).

Wouldn't sink too much into stuff right this moment, since there's a giant patch with an ETA of SOON™.

1. You should search the thread b4 asking. Proficiency isn't that important since they catch up to you eventually. You're welcome to grind it up if you want that boost in power but only if you have the time or feel you need it.

2. It varies from person to person and its different depending on your level. Find what fits you best at your level and roll with it.

3. High mitigation is best IMHO because it's much cheaper than good power of slaughter. Usually you want to find high pmi with high end.

I would advise you to wait until you're 110 to start FSM, since you get silence.

Silence > Weaken > bash > repeat

I've been salvaging only superior T1, and my lg/mg ratio is about 7:3 so I've been hesitating to continue...

t2/t3 sup and under = bazaar?

it can give you HG but you must be very lucky for that & your superior must be near max PxP for superior (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Salvage all Sup+ T1 equips if you don't use them.

For T2 (kevlar, gossamer) sell them if PXP~320. If they are above 330, I might gamble and salvage.

For T3 (shade, phase, power) I would probably bazaar if below 320. But if they are >325, why bazaar or salvage? You might find a buyer for them, unless they are total crap.

I don't think there is any good flowchart to salvaging. It comes from seeing what rolls the equipment have and some experience. Some 332 plate armor gave me MG, while some 325daggers gave me HG. Sometimes you can get lucky.

Ah hah, not so. Low grade mats can still give you forge exp. Not much, granted, but every bit counts.

It does happen that sometimes, you get Fine equips that have max rolls on the main (desirable) stats and average on the rest - the first few levels of forging will only use LG mats.

And, well, we can always hope that some kind of refining can be coded into the game...

Should I scrap my old staff for the mats I put into it? Its not much but I think I tagged 3 destruction bindings in there, or just leave it alone?

Not sure if I am understanding correctly BUT at lower levels you don't have as much magic damage coming in so raising physcial damage might be better than raising endurance.

increase 7% PMI is very hard except you change your equipment with a better setup (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

the fastest way to increase PMI is use plate of protection (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
