All equipment starts at Potency Level 0, and can be leveled up to Level 10, unlocking a total of ten potencies. The amount of PXP required for the next level is displayed next to the equipment potency's level and increases as the item gains in potency levels. Potency unlocks add stats that the equipment piece does not already possess (with the exception of damage stats and action speed bonus for weapons). Additional levels of potency are more likely to level up existing ones rather than give new ones. These additional stats cannot be further upgraded in the forge.

So if I have a weapon with str/dex/agi, this means that the only potencies that can be unlocked are endurance/butcher/swift strike? For a bit didn't some weapons spawn with str/dex/agi/end, meaning they they only get butcher/ss?

Related, can XX Staff of Focus get the economizer potency?

Make sure it is not equipped.
You can't sell or IW an equipped item.

I just realized that skills always proc the maximum amount of PA (3x) and Bleed (5x) ... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

And I was wondering why people are buying Katana (and to a lesser extent, Mace) ... It all make sense to me now. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

What level should I aim for depreciating profiency to hit FSM at least 80%+ when I cast; and what would 90; 100 be?

The wiki, go read it. Search for curse weaving and accuracy. Once you learn how to answer your questions you won't have to ask them.

I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right. I'm going for a dual wielding heavy melee but I can't help but feel that I'm doing something wrong cause some of the arenas I'm doing are pretty hard if I crank up the difficulty a bit. Anyone care to give me some advice?

These are my specs so far.



Also, could I possibly take on the lv 75+ Ring of Blood monsters with this set up or would I get my ass handed to me? I don't want to use 2 tokens only to die cause I missed a silence or something.

...If you're having a hard time on higher difficulties like BT, then that's normal at your level.

Your stats seem fine but we can't really tell if you're doing something wrong without also knowing what your abilities and equipment are.

Believe me, I've read it. But Curse weaving, according to the wiki only kicks in when 2 or more effects are active on a monster.

If you want 80% chance after 2 spells, your depre prof should be at 80% of your level. Do note that many DW fighting skills will interfere with this curse-weaving (T1 cause blind, T2 cause poison).

Not worried about that, I just want to know what level of prof I need to just land Silence without any other active effects on.

With all this talk about Dual-Wielding, some DW expert rate this Rapier I got a while back.
Figure I might sell it if its decent enough and can get a good price.

Yeah, it's worth a shitload based off it's accuracy and PABs alone. If it had more turns it would be perfect (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) .

You should spend those ability points appropriately. And definitely those aura points. For the auras, DON'T CLICK ON THE AURA ITSELF. Click on 'Upgrade'. If you click on the image of the aura, you will lose all your aura points for that one.

@Nightwishman: FSM has evade now. Fortunately, it is based on it's level and so won't be very high.
Unfortunately, deprecating prof doesn't boost the accuracy of deprecating spells.

No, evade is based on Agi, at the rate of /100. FSM has 25 in all stats.
