You should take a look at the HV advice page. There's some information on what's more important for specific builds.

So I'm still figuring out this heavy melee thing. I tried to do a nightmare Magnificent 185 item world. It wasn't too bad except for the fact that I died in the last 5 rounds due to running out of mana. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I use my OC on spirit stance, not opting to use them on skills figuring that killing the monsters faster would be better. I have Protection, Haste, and SoL on IA. I cast HS and SV with channeling and keep up regen2 and SS normally. My inventory is 12 Godly mana and 1 Godly Spirit.

I figured I was doing something wrong since I can do it on holy on heroic with no issue. I figured going up one level in heavy should be fine.

EDIT: My weapon is ethereal with holy strike.

EDIT 2: Holy jesus. Is it just me, or are monsters resisting a whole lot more than usual? Just went 3 turns in a row with all 3 monsters evading/resisting.

i like to play caster and i'm not giving up on it, but i'd like to be able to clear stuff in the mean time.

which style should i go for? 1h, 2h or 2w?
which kind of weapons?
which kind of armors? (i'm guessing heavy)
which mods should i look for my equip?

i need a build capable of clearing high difficulty arenas/IW and IWBTH random encounters without having to spend tons of money to be viable.

Cheapest build that will let you play at IWBTH level the fastest is definitely heavy armor with an estoc. First need to invest in several mag/leg quality plates with high PMI and high str/end. Combine these with some high quality power pieces. It helps to forge the PMI and other stats on your armor a bit. For a weapon use an exquisite+ ethereal estoc of slaughter with high damage, high strength and good dexterity. Forge the damage on this about 20 levels or so. That's probably the cheapest build to play at high level lol.

Yeah, that's also the fastest of the melee builds too so it's probably the best choice for those starting off.

Though you can do what I do and get all mag shade of the fleet/sd and dual-wield with it. I can do all arenas on IWBTH easily with my current set. And light armor and forging it isn't too terribly expensive. You need to get a good ethereal club of slaughter and an awesome ethereal rapier too though (rapier's can get pretty expensive is you want a good one too). You have to forge the evade/pmi on some of your armor too. It still is much cheaper than maging (but it will never be as fast).

Tell me about it. Look at the evade chance on this Legendary, and then on my Exquisite.

Well, let's go by the cost of what I bought my sets by. I can do all the arenas on IWBTH with both of them.

Heavy:

Estoc: 5 million (magnificent ethereal estoc of slaughter)
Helmet: drop worth about 500k (exquisite power of protection with max ADB, strength)
Cuirass: drop worth about 600k (magnificent plate of protection with max PMI)
Gauntlets: drop worth about 2m (legendary plate gauntlets)
Leggings: 550k (mag max PMI plate leggings, won in an auction)
Sabatons: drop worth about 500k (magnificent mithril plate sabatons of protection)

I've probably spent only about 500k on forging on these armor. I've put 20 slaughter bindings on my estoc so that's about 2.5 million if we count current cost of slaughters and high metals, plus another 500k forging crit and strength on it.

So about 12.65 million. So I'd say you could put together a decent heavy set with an estoc with 10-15 million. Maybe a lot less. As you see most of the cost is the weapon and forging it, so it depends.

Light:

Club: 1.5 million (mag ethereal club of slaughter)
Rapier: 2.7 million (mag ethereal rapier of balance)
Head: 1.4 million (mag fleet)
Body: 1 million (mag fleet, good deal (^^))
Gauntlets: 300k (mag fleet, I got a good deal on these too)
Leggings: 1.1m (mag SD, got these in an auction
Boots: 2.7m (mag SD, my most expensive piece of armor).

Damn, I've spent a good amount on forging. Thankfully hg leathers and shade frags are cheap though. Still, I've put 13 slaughter bindings on my club. I've also forged my accuracy on my rapier I think 12 times. Also the crit and parry quite a bit. I'm just gonna guess and say I've about spent 2.5m forging the weapons and 3-4m forging the armor. So let's go with about 6 million in forging.

So it's 16.7m in all. So yeah, I'd say you'd want to spend between 15-20 million to be able to play all the arena on IWBTH. You still will want a heavy set also though for IW and grindfest lol.

All and all, both of these sets are A LOT cheaper than maging.

1st - Can anyone tell me at what level Magnificent or Legendary equipments starts to drop ? Ok I know they are rare but still now I never got even one Magnificent drop forget about Legendary >_> Is this normal or I am super unlucky ? Btw I do RE in IWBTH. Areas in Nightmare-Hell And my LOTD is at lvl (10/25)

2nd - Tokenizer (in hath perks) activating them increase chance of Token drops by mobs right. So does it rise the drop rate of Token of blood or Chaos token or both ?

3rd - I know this is a stupid question but can someone tell me what parry means actually or what it does ? I understand evade/block/resist.

4th - What physical/magical mitigation do actually ? And to play higher arenas in IWBTH how much mitigation do you actually need ?

1 - I didn't get my first legendary drop until I got LotD 15. So yeah, just keep working on all your drop trainings and it gets better.

2 - Yes, both get increased. All tokens.

well i started playing something like 3 weeks ago and i'm definitely far from that kind of money.
right now i have 350k but trainings are getting more and more expensive and i'm also saving for the 50 hath needed for the first innate arcana slot.

right now i'm not aiming for IWBTH arenas, i said i wanted to be able to clear IWBTH random encounters.
being able to clear arenas at nintendo or bt (save the very first ones) would already be an accomplishment.
right now i can do all the arenas at hell with my elemental mage (with a few problems in the longer ones) and i can IW at nightmare, heroic for exquisite+ (actually the + is just speculation because i never had any equipment above ex) but i'm working toward an holy/dark equip and things are going to get a little better.

i used to be able to clear RE at IWBTH but not anymore, i cannot deal enough damage in the time bought me by the two cloaks of the fallen.

but still thanks for showing me the direction, your advice was just much more high end oriented than what i was searching for, but still you showed me the way. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Parry is just Resist except Parry only works on physical attacks.

And to play higher arenas in IWBTH how much mitigation do you actually need ?

There are credit bonus for both arenas and ROB which you can use. I also said it before to someone and again will say to you just keep playing and as you level up things will get better ^^ I used to do RE at BT before reaching 200. But now I can do them easily in IWBTH so take it easy and you will be fine. good luck
