QUOTE(Lement @ Feb 2 2013, 00:16) Your mace is surprisingly good for level 40, though it can certainly be improved. Don't trade it for non-ethereal one.
leather....is, like cotton, trash. Shade or Kevlar, for critting Shade of the shadowdancer or balance power can help you most - you can pick few equips from free shops in WTS. However, fair warning: your chosen build isn't exactly popular, as mace doesn't provide any damage and while it may let you go further in the same amount of time with equip providing more damage one can get more rewards.
PABs are often the difference between "barely sellable" and "can fetch a nice sum".
Oh I see, yea this mace is really good, I could have 100%+ acc with it, I wonder why. This good guy is responsible for this (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) 490854133Um I agree, mace doesnt really do that much damage, but I like how it does stun so that the monster couldnt hit me (because I have crappy armor, I take a lot of damage) and I could hit them freely. So what do you suggest for a good offense weapon? Estoc? Or Katana? Yeah, thats my first set when I began playing HV, when I only have some hundred creds to spend on the shop, and I figured to start by buying the lowest class light armor, which is leather (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE(Evil Scorpio @ Feb 2 2013, 07:23) Check your MoogleMail, I've sent you a couple of things. Maybe it'll be useful. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Lol this sure is more useful than my current set. TYVM buddy, really appreciate it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Here's the result: [ easycaptures.com] http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/533/5988565864.pngAnd um, before you gave me this, I was buying the cheapest plate of protection set I could find, and which set do you think would be better? I havent found the sabaton yet, tho. If I calculate it roughly, with a sabaton at 8/9% PMI, it'd give me a 50% PMI boost. Superior Plate Cuirass of Protection (Body - Heavy Armor) Superior Plate Gauntlets of Protection (Hands - Heavy Armor) Superior Plate Greaves of Protection (Legs - Heavy Armor) Superior Plate Helmet of Protection (Head - Heavy Armor) Average Plate Sabatons of Deflection (Feet - Heavy Armor) <-- Just a random drop from monsters Result: [ easycaptures.com] http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/533/5845672321.pngQUOTE(Falbala456 @ Feb 2 2013, 07:24) Well at my lvl Cure II gives me roughly 3600 hp, while Regen II gives 16000 (in a normal cast, not a chanelled one).
And yep, it's also a fact about being close to your max hp to not end up being OS by the first random uber-thing who comes across and unleash his attacks.
Wow, nice to see a DW player here. Can I ask some questions? How do you intend to play with a DW? To utilize the DS, or offhand strike, BW, or simply pure damage? And what procs more often for you, the DS or OS? This post has been edited by masskiss: Feb 2 2013, 09:20

i'm still not finished schoolgirls marathons on IWBTH. And after x2 HP buff and last patch, i'm can't do that with my Estoc+plate of protection. So i'm decided to try other type of fighting style. Like DW. DW is new for me, so i need some advice: which type of mainhand/offhand/armor you use and why?

You must be doing something wrong if you can't do DwD on IWBTH with melee (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) What prevents you from completing?

Yep. The 50+ round arenas have Bosses at the end, Legendaries past 90 rounds. QUOTE(irvin123455 @ Feb 2 2013, 04:44) i'm still not finished schoolgirls marathons on IWBTH. Usual setups are Axe/Rapier, Club/Rapier or sometimes Rapier/Rapier. Axe/Rapier is good for Heavy, since you don't need the stun as much. Mainhand is Slaughter, offhand is Balance with good AAB and Proc. This post has been edited by PK678353: Feb 2 2013, 11:10

Help me, oh Wise Ones! Mace became ridiculously slow. I'm thinking about moving to estoc. Can I get relatively good estoc for ~500k? If yes, where? Can anyone recommend me something? I'm light armor user and trying to use this right now.

Well, you'll need to spend time to raise the prof anyway, so I say spending 3 hours doing DwD is way faster than a week getting the profs. And you can cheat, too. What I did the last time I DwD was to spam scroll of absorb. So what you do is have scroll of absorb on you, and then cast weaken on all the girls. Guaranteed mana when their specials hit you (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

What‘s the minium conditions for mages to pass first 50 rounds of legendary arenas (no legendary mob rounds) @IWBTH ?
85%+ offensive prof + max edb rolled clothes in normal prefix ?

i hope u can help me with some stuff i just did the abilitiepoints like said (str and dex=low ; end=lvl ; int wis and agi = high) its good i think bu str: i would never lvl it until 5 points cost the same as 1 endurance dex: ~80 hitchance is ok, i only need it for ET maybe lategame bring it to 100 agi: early game u get way more evasion with eqiup, would only lvl it when i can get with it (at the same lvl as int) evasionvalues of like 50%+ end: realy good since all heals scale with hp and it gives phys and magic resist, will be always at my lvl int and wis: both realy good, dmg mana manareg magicresistenc , will be always as high as i can get it
so until i do meele to i dont see why it should be str, dex = lvl*0,8 end = lvl agi, int, wis = lvl+
can somepony help me out why the experts recomend that ^^

I think the easiest build for new players is to make all stat the same except int (for melee) or dex (for mage) that lag 20~30 point. Btw, I am going to reach 200 hath soon. I would like to know how experienced players (both melee and mage) rate white aura against IA3. thank. This post has been edited by Colman: Feb 2 2013, 17:59

Have you tried to use rending blow every round and not spirit stance? 500k should net a decent exquisite ethereal estoc, but probably won't be too much of an improvement from the current one. It's only a general guideline to guide people not to leave str at 1 or something A few stats don't make too much of a difference anyways, do whatever you feel works.

I'd guess you damage is too low so you take too many turns/round and that eats a lot of mana. I was doing some of them to grind DW prof before i took a break again. Its works well when you only face 1 schoolgirl but when you face more its slower then 2HD. I wouldn't mind finding a new eth axe for doing them after its been forged a ton, makes things way faster (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE(Colman @ Feb 2 2013, 15:58) Btw, I am going to reach 200 hath soon. IA slots seem to make a big difference if you melee now. When i use to mage all the time I only had 2 and it worked fine but more is nice if you melee. even if you leave some of them empty. when you melee you want to have a high mana regen rate so you don't lose any mana each turn & if you can get a few points back each turn doing those long runs will be a lot easier.

For my current melee build, I have found that my mp consumption of the 2 IA slots can be cancelled out by mp regeneration if I use shards. Mp is not a issue right now. I mostly die due to careless mistake or sp runout. Of cause, less mp consumption is nice. I've started playing as dark mage recently, though I can only spam Ragnarok at the moment. I am currently using SoL and haste in IA when playing as mage. My first question is that do mage really need IA3? My second question is that do white aura reduce the chance of SS and SoL triggered so that sp consumption can be reduced? (for both melee and mage) thank.

Why don't you take a superior or godly spirit pot ? I always have one on me in cases off and I don't remember ever running out of sp even in long fight in IW.

^You shouldn't do IW, it is not worth it on your level with the amount of stamina you use and it safes a lot of time.

ok thanks, that helped me a bit (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) i started the game this month and find it realy great farming with no end free skilling pets, crafting and many more..... i first made a mage (i like them^^) with ice spells (*.* cant get more awsom) and i still have some questions: 1. can i fight at high lvl with low str and dex? do i need dex at all? is hitting important? (ET) 2. is it possible to make a character who can switch between meele and mage and still can fight iwbth bosses just with good equip and skills? 3. what is better for fastlvling? itemworld or grindfest since i need not only exp to not fall off lategame didnt i? exp profession lvling pet lvling (token and "food") credits (and/or items) for training 4. and 1 last question is it random when i encounter bosses in? (IW or GF) i do alot GF and only got 3 bosses and only 2 times IW and got 2 bosses in 1 run thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
