Depends on your stats/other gear. For me, the first one is slightly better for both elements.

I'm not sure at all whether that much MDB is worth more than the ~31% extra damage (scaled to my level) from dark EDB and proficiency damage bonus combined, or not.

It took me 683 turns to kill FSM by DW, is it normal? btw, my DW proficiency is around 50.

Why still to have infusion slot?
I try to use infusion in the battle. It's show icon but doesn't get an effect of infusion when attack monster.

I know, I've asked for the scroll and infusion slots to be merged together.

The dedicated slot is still practically useless for melee during battle, especially since they can't be reset.

Heavy prof is still 70, but regretablly it's a lot better than using mace with light even though my shade is higher-grade. And now I can't even shard an estoc for light due to crappier featherweights (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

- Skyward Sword, Vital Strike and Rending Blow now all inflict a maxed stack of their respective procs.

My only beef with the new patch is gone, so I guess it's time to go back on semi-hiatus.

You're missing a lot of damage from that low proficiency. For one thing, at +50 damage per 10 proficiency, that's a lot more base damage you could have at your level. More importantly, you're missing Frenzied Blows, which will do most of the damage on a DW FSM run, so you'd see a huge difference if you can get that proficiency up to 100 first.

It took me 302 last time I fought FSM and that's with max DW prof and the set in my sig. 683 is a bit high even without frenzied blows so you have a lot of room to improve.

Any yes, silence is good for DW against FSM, in fact, it's the only deprecating spell I use against him.
