there's a lot of advice that's thrown around in this thread and most of the time it's "good" advice in one circumstance or another. that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be good advice for the person asking though. that's when you have to be untrue to your avatar picture.
Where do you view a person's activity level on HV?? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

you can't. but i thought i remember you saying somewhere you clear something like 500 rounds a day or less. it'd take you years to garner any benefit from training if you're doing something like that.
if i'm wrong and you're one of those people clearing way more rounds a day then by all means, follow derp's advice

With my loot drop trainings at these levels, and them costing around 250-350k to train per level, I wonder if what derpymal said about selling those 250 haths for training is more efficient.
Anyone?
250 hath@14k each is 3.5 million credits. for you that can get you a lot of training selling it is a good idea if you don't need any hath perks. did you get the 3 auras yet? do you want to get the crystal perks?

Someone had to remind me on Hath Perks. It'll be a long time before I get all of the Spectral Auras. My training in those areas for item drops are lower than ChosenUno. There are always priorities for what hath perks and training to choose. Got to be careful though with spending. I just don't have enough credits to spend on good equipment in the WTS section.

Nope. Currently I only have IA1 and 2. I don't really see the appeal of spectral auras anyhow, except maybe rainbow, for the 50% increased regen. With my estimation, I probably do around 3-4k rounds a day, more during weekends. Decisions decisions (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Is the scythe a good weapon to use?. Because I want to try out a build with a scythe. But I'm not to sure on what Type of armor I would have to use with it.

Used to be, but now it sucks with the latest update. If the next update to HV comes up, hopefully infusions and scythes (along with other bleeding weapons) will be incredibly useful. Usually heavy armor goes incredibly well with scythes, but estocs replaced scythes as the weapon of choice for heavy armor users. This post has been edited by rpgman1: Jun 5 2012, 03:27

Much better, but the bleed damage is still terrible. You would be better off with an ethereal estoc or an ethereal mace if you want void damage just to activate their respective procs.

which staff should i stick to? Average ebony staff of destruction is giving me 1930.5 base damage and has higher int but lower mdb. Superior katalox staff of destruction is just giving me 1921.3 base damage and has higher mdb but lower int. i am currently leaning towards the katalox cos my rough calculations indicate that it will give me higher damage in the long run. or is my calculations wrong...

Hi, this is my first time visiting this thread. Go easy on me please (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) What do i need to convert to heavy armor 2H melee user? I'm a mage atm, and i'm planning to switch to melee by lv 200ish. What are the differences between an estoc and a longsword? Which one is more beneficial? Thanks in advance (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

Number 1: A full set of heavy armor, obviously. Power is the type of choice, but since it's expensive, you can make do with full plates of protection. Number 2: A good weapon. Estocs are preferred because they remove 100% physical mitigation when its proc proc. Number 3: Lots of Overcharge, or OC. You need this for your skills and spirit stance. Around 150 would be a nice number, but not strictly required. That's about it, IMO.

You probably need some adjustments on your character's stats. Roughly: str=dex=agi=end=wis>int As a heavy armor user, you need the following skills: Protection, heartseeker, haste, spirit shield for normal play. Max out SP and OC tanks if you can. Estoc for sure. The proc, penetrated armor is very useful now. Longsword has bleed, which isn't great at all since the latest patch.
