Is there a place i can read about pricing, or is it just what you think you can get for it type things. Want to open a shop soon, but don't really know how to price things. I know how to determine equipment quality, but translating that into what is worth credit wise is beyond me.

You should probably just look around WTS and see how much items are being sold for. Usually people will just cross off recently sold items and leave them there for a few days. Once you start buying and selling items more, you'll naturally start to get a feel for how much an item should be worth.

How do you use HVSTAT's skill button? I press it and nothing happens?

You just need to identify what properties makes an equip worth lots. There are 3 factors in pricing (aside from luck/current trend): 1. Stat significance (calculate through [ www.starfleetplatoon.com] HV Stat Calculator + Equipment Ranges); 2. Level range; 3. Prefix sexiness.

First look at the WTS section to see what people buy. Then, pricing, I usually put the price x10 (which is what would cost buying it from he Bazaar) and then half it. Example: Bazaar buys something from you for 200C. This means someone have to buy it from there for 2000C. So my price would be 1000C. And I round down. Except when I find something that could be worth more. Also, I have a question. When leveling up monsters, is better to level up all-around, or should I focus on its best traits?

In terms of usefulness, is stun or bleeding wound better? I personally seem to think that stun is better, since you can bash on bosses while they're stunned for ~75% of the battle, but has anyone done analysis to say one way or the other.

Focusing on best traits will give you a stronger monster, and all-round leveling will give you a monster with better PL. And since I've dealt with tons of high PL monsters, I would say getting high PL monster is more important: they have more chance to be in a battle, and they'll have chance to give you valuable high-grade materials. It depends on your playstyle and armor. I would say both is plausible for melee now.

Can't he also do a simple calculation [ what it's worth selling to Bazaar * 5 = what Bazaar would take for it ] ? Then it's just a matter of lowering his price a bit to make it attractive to the buyer. This post has been edited by Handsome Phil: Apr 17 2012, 21:40

You gonna lose out if you just multiply Bazaar price * 5. Most stuff isn't nearly that valuable, and Bazaar doesn't always reflect the individual variations between each item, since it calculates price based on suffix, type, lvl, and prefix, not based on the individual stats of each item. And the good stuff can often sell for anywhere from ten to hundreds or even thousands of times the bazaar price,

But whats a high PL to him may not be the same to you. I think the PL99 monster isn't do it anymore unless you start with a strong class and upgrade stats that will make it stronger then the average monster. The PL199 were doing a good job but now that there are +30,000 monsters they aren't bringing in the loot the way they use to (even only checking once a day) 250 would be a good starting point if you only want normal stuff. If you want to get High-grade from time to time then shoot for PL 300-350. My high level monsters are all 420-430 and over time will slowly upgrade them. But before I do that I want to take more of my PL99 to PL199 and the stronger 199's to +400 If I ever really get into doing CF I may upgrade one monster to +700 but for now I like a lot of monsters that are +400.

I was wondering, I have blood tokens from my early arena runs and wondered if there was a cap or something on the number of times you can fight in the ring of blood. Is there like an upper daily limit or as many times as your level, cooldown, and supply of blood tokens allows?
Ex: Have 4 blood tokens so I could run through all 4 level 50 bosses when I'm level 50. Or like there is a cap of 2 bosses per 24 hour time period or something to that effect.

Read that before but never payed any attention to that one day line, thanks for the link. If nothing else I paid more attention reading it this time. Also, I have one more question and forgive me for being somewhat out of loop on things.
Is there like a table or percentage chance of meeting bosses in grindfest or the arena? I know about the arena tables but the first time I fought Mithra was either there or in grindfest. I beat her thanks to a saved shatter strike but I was still confused on the matter. I always imagined all bosses were only accessible once you reached the ring of blood level requirement and not before. It was a bit ago but at least for facing her I got a nice flower.

arena spawns are set. you can find their distributions by searching arena in the wiki
bosses in grindfest... i don't remember the chance... but it's a small chance to randomly appear in grindfest/iw/random encounter/crystalfest

Post a shot of your trainings and items too plz, some of your....stuff...looks weird. Also, you need more END, AGI, and WIS. Stop stacking STR and DEX so high, you not gonna get that much more benefits out of them. Lose 5 points in each and you can gain 10 in the other 3 at least. Also, focusing on one hand is probably the worst thing you can do. This post has been edited by Kaosumx: Apr 18 2012, 04:50

Ok wow, this is gonna take a lot of work.
1. Activate those auras. You should have enough to get 4 auras and get them all to lvl 2. Why do you still have 5 aura points left?
Red, Yellow, Green, and pick between Orange or Blue.
2. Stop training archaeologist. Totally useless at you level. The drop rate increase is so miniscule that it barely helps, especially since you only have 1 lvl in scavenger. Train that first, make sure its at least several levels above the other item trainings.
3. Train your DW and 2H proficiencies. The only way to clear large number of rounds reliably with melee is 2H. The splash is absolutely neccesary. I'd recommend a mace, but any one will do, and in fact, you might want to save up some credits because your broke. Try to find a "of slaughter one. DW is better for boss battles once proficiency hits 100.
4. Find some better armor. If you want to stick to light, then get more "of protection" peices. Doesn't have to be kevlar thanks to the nerf, and probably too expensive with your budget, so you might want to go for leather. Or just go for plate. Always go for "of protection". Specific element mitigation armor is useless (except maybe light and dark for RoB, but even then).
5. Get haste. It's very nice, not quite critical yet at your level, but it helps a lot.
6. You don't really need that many points in exp tank or mp tank at your level, and especially since you already have 100 ranks in adept learning. If your going melee, sp tank and overcharge will help you much more.
7. And remember, balance your stats a bit more. You need much more WIS, its important even for melee. You MP tanks are going to waste with so little WIS.
