Little question that's been bugging me, is there any need for Mages to increase their Strength or Dexterity Attributes whatsoever?
I can understand Agility because of the Action speed thing, but I don't see any benefits in Strength and Dexterity for Mages, so would I be correct to not increase their Attributes at all?

QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Mar 22 2012, 20:33) Maging before 130 is not really a big problem. I did and it's way more enjoyable compared to melee, provided you have a set of gear ready. At least gossamer of elementalist.
First off, thanks to you and others for replies, I have a better idea of what I am doing. Second... I noticed you said 'At least' gossamer of elementalist. At this point, is there anything better I could use? Another suffix? I know I don't want to use phase yet since I have no profs. Maybe you didn't really mean anything by 'at least', I just want to make sure.

At low levels, STR and DEX are not to important. Later on You want to put points into STR for your HP, rather than get killed after you cast your first support spell. This will become obvious to you as you start to play at higher difficulties. You can put points into DEX at higher levels as a cheap way to increase the SP. dex = mainly for parry. which is a little more important with the small hit to evade via staff burden

I would say keep it at about 80% of your current level. You're not going to get much EXP to put into other stats if you keep them below 80%. And considering the amount of protection/parry you're losing, I would say 80% is a fair level. P.S.: By the way, people seems to have lots of energy to work on wiki today. Any good reason? I have had this problem for a while both in Firefox and Chrome that stats in the right scrolling window is stacked on top of each other. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Have anyone else had this problem? Is it a problem on the site itself or with HVstat?

The layout is pre-defined spacing of the DIV layers. Mostly because of the custom font. Any other font used will cause that unless the font size is equal to or smaller than the default custom font used. Example of using a font size equal to the default custom: (IMG:[ dl.dropbox.com] http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12315555/spacing_issues_001.png) It is a pain to read. You can fix it with Stylish ([ addons.mozilla.org] FF / [ chrome.google.com] Chrome). This should take care of most problems (including MoogleMail): CODE @-moz-document domain("hentaiverse.org") {
#stats_pane > div { height: auto !important; }
#arena_pane > script + div { height: 613px !important; } #arena_pane > div + div { height: auto !important; } #arena_pane > div > table > tbody > tr > td { height: 30px !important; }
#mailform > #leftpane > div > div > #leftpane, #mailform > #leftpane > div > div > .fd10 > div, #mailform > #leftpane + div > div > .fd10 > div, #mailform > #leftpane + div > div > .fd10 + div { display: inline-block !important; } #mailform > #leftpane > div > div, #mailform > #leftpane + div > div { text-align: left !important; }
} Edit: v2 that should take care of incoming MoogleMails as well. This post has been edited by (Cheater) Tiap: Mar 24 2012, 13:10

Thanks a lot Cheater. It works!! I gave up on custom fonts awhile ago cuz the right pane was such a travesty to look at. Will have to play around with new fonts some, and maybe try ff again.

PS, I'd love to buy some Godly mana Potions First of all, what's your playing style? From your proficiencies, I gather you're playing as a mage. With that setup, that's a no no. If you're melee-ing, then you should play 2H at lower levels. It's much faster, especially when your gear is crap (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Also, look in the freebies thread. Lots of people with stuff to give away in there. Now, if you'd like to give us a little bit more info to work on, like maybe your abilities and such.

Instead of worrying about Proficiencies and levelling slowly, I think I'll get to Level 200 as soon as I can so I can like, do Schoolgirl Arena and stuff, though I think the later arenas will force me to use all my available potions. Is this generally a good idea or will this end up biting me in the ass later?

Honestly? Proficiencies play a very minor role when compared to your equipments. As long as you have adequate equipments, you should level up fast. No point staying around, especially as your level up higher, you'll slow down a lot, and your profs will naturally catch up with you.

Schoolgirl arenas start at level 220. You'll probably have to ET (mage, right?) to get through End of Days for the first time.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry about proficiencies. I never tried to deliberately level slowly to keep my proficiencies high, and yet most of them are pretty close to my level.

Then you'll see a button with a big ass S. Click on it and click manage installed styles. Next up, click on Write new style. Name it accordingly, then paste the CSS into the big box. Tick enabled, and then Click on specify. Choose URLs starting with, and write in the text box http://hentaiverse.org. Remember to click Add. Finally, click save and you're done! Whats the best way to go against real life on iwbth as a mage? I imagine magic missile would take forever. But it has resistances to everything but void. Impervious to elemental too.
Plus, they don't exactly have any armor that mitigates soul damage either. I figure if anything, I might have to do that one as a melee.
