Salvaging gives 90%(rounded down) of the mats back, except for catalysts which you wont get back.

Roughly 13% for adb/mdb. 8% for all the rest.
as a general suggestion, when you identify a page which needs a bit of affection, attach a link, please. Higher chances for someone to take care of it

It should be noted that stats generate prefixes, not the other way around (with the exception of Peerless). The quality prefix is based on the average value of all the stats relative to their possible maximum.

This was supposed to be my end-game staff: Legendary Demonic Willow Staff of Destruction
Bought is very very expensive. At the moment, with cloth 1/3 way forged, this gets me to round 700 of PFFest before dying. The dying can be solved by changing Achmage into Spellweaver. EDB is near peerless. MDB is just below 50%.

Then Legendary Demonic Willow Staff of Destruction came up in auction. It was going to sell for a couple of m's. Annoying, because I spent way more on my staff. I couldn't bear seeing it go for under 10m so that's what I bid.

It's better than my end-game staff, because MDB is (slightly) more important than EDB. MDB is quite close to peerless, EDB is well below 50%. I believe this one will perform better in PFfest, because of more damage. And I went for spell4 because that helps not dying in PFfest.

Makes sense, thanks for the breakdown. Even though I don't know much, I had considered buying it when you first made your WTS, but then I saw level 500. At the slow rate I am leveling, there is no guarantee I will ever reach level 400. Also I don't have enough credits, but I recently discovered the power of the dark star which could provide the black money for that demon staff to survive.

I'm not sure you overpaid too horribly for your first staff. If I recall from when you obtained it earlier, it was close to 50m, but the previous owner bought it from auction for 10m (just like your new one) then pumped 25m of upgrades (according to you) into it, plus a "perfect" IW.

I really would like to know what I should be doing right now, trying to clear the later arena's seem to be taking longer than when I was doing two handed (Switched to Rapier + Shield). Is there something I should be investing in? I'm going to switch to mage once I reach around 310 and find the right equipment. Any advice would be appreciated.

At your level, monsters are getting tough. That's what you are experiencing, probably. Rapier & shield will prevent you from dying. Then you need to go power and/or Slaughter to make speed again. mag/leg rapier of slaughter. Power armors. Perhaps even Power of Slaughter (expensive!). And IW your rapier to 10 for extra strike and thus extra damange.

By the way, I don't see any pics or links attached...

Weapon and shield upgrade would be on the top of the list for me. You can check the Free Shop when it is back open in a couple days, though I'm gonna plug decondelite's store- he has a lot of good stuff for players right around your level, and at really reasonable prices too.

Guys, it's been like 3-4 years since I last played, want to play again but I'm totally lost. Been reading some things on the 2018 thread (there is some useful tips there, thanks), but I'm still lost. I'm not exactly a newcomer because I already got some equipment and stuff, but without knowledge it isn't much.

Any tips on where to start? What's a good build to follow at my level and such?

Someone suggest me to try rapier + shield. Reading the wiki I tried to get the rapier of slaughter, shield of force and heavy armor with power of protection. But I could only find some items that I already owned.

wow, what a treasure trove you got there.
some of us collect obsollete equipments. find them, sell them stuff (at best price you can manage), and use the credit to buy equipments from wts section. but hey, you're low-leveled. Go to FreeShop, they might have good stuffs you can use.

It depends on your equipment and your play style.
But for you level, I think it is quite difficult for you to have a full set of exquisite or above.
I would say nightmare, or hell if you have a good weapon.
