Interesting. So this works quite well up to level 200, I didn't know that! Thanks for sharing this with us.

It used to be, in previous version of HV, that you basically had to switch to 1h heavy at level 250 or so, because monsters became too strong. You'll find out if that is still the case, soon.

What would help you is to use scripts. Or, one script in particular: monsterbation. That will speed up your game play considerably.

I used to play like that. It's quite annoying.

So, after earning Fus Ro Dah, I'm kind of interested in trying it out. I've heard that it is paired with some success with a stunlock build, using high atk speed, mace, and as much damage as possible after that. Basic plan to use high atk speed to get as many turns as possible to get FRD off cooldown while building up the OC to fuel it.

I threw together a 2h+Light build on my third, mostly unused persona. Cranked AGI as high as possible, leaned towards shade pieces I have sitting in inventory where possible.

The build can only get 15% AS. It also has noticeably less base damage compared to my main 1h build. Would that, combined with IA Haste, be enough to stunlock below pfudor or possibly also on pfudor?

Should it be DW with club and wakizashi (for more speed) instead?

Anything else important to the build I'm missing?

Quick question for mages.

I'm finally starting to transition to maging and if I want to play no-imperil holy, I'd need 914 total proficiency at level 457, correct?

What is cooldown for potions/draught??

i think i've seen them in somewhere but cannot find them:(


and also have some problems in using smartsearch/toolbox

dunno exactly when, but whenever i turned on pc,

some settings/database are cleared (i.e. i usually set percentile mod:no but it returns to yes)

for smartsearch, i followed the guides in script but the problem wasn't settled

im using latest version of chrome, and using programs automatically deleting browsing/download history(i think this doens't affect but just in case...)

Those two scripts are storing its settings inside your browser (namely in local.storage / IndexedDB), so if you have cleaned your browser's data - you might cleaned settings of those two scripts as well.

Depending on the browser and its cleaning process that empties local.storage / IndexedDB might be called "clean site data" or "clean cookies and other site and plugin data" or "site preferences" or whatever.

Also if you are using automatically toold to clean your PC like CCleaner - they might clean those settings too. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Just from use in combat right now, draughts and potions become available for use again 39 turns later. So 38 turn cooldown for those.

Went with Niten+FRD. I brought the difficulty down to Nightmare since my prof is low and my gear is crap.

I can see tons of room for gear improvement, obviously. And with greater light armor prof will come more speed, as well as more overall agility from better PABs across the board. A few agile shade pieces would help a lot as well. I could see switching from a swift wakizashi to slaughter/balance/nimble.

Getting some Fleet/Shadowdancer pieces would raise evade for more survivability.

And obviosly IW10 on weapons would contribute much more damage, along with potentially more AS from swift strikes. I'd probably mostly want to avoid Overpower due to how often I'd be hitting stunned targets.

As for the playstyle itself: It seems to have a pretty substantial "startup" phase. Getting 4 OC pips to launch the first FRD, and also setting up various buffs all takes time until everything smooths out. This makes it really hard to use this style for RE. More IA slots (I only have two) will help a lot in keeping Shadow Veil and Protection running (I have SoL and Haste loaded).

On the other hand, it is really fun once it gets going. While it doesn't have the mitigations of my usual heavy armor style, and lacks the block stat of the 1h, I can see evade helping to make up for that. Offhand Waki helps keep some parry stat. The frequent stuns from FRD massively cut down on the incoming damage. So overall, it doesn't really feel all that squishy to play.

Going with Niten, it is super easy to make everything bleed. My regular attacks do about 2k damage, offhands and elemental strikes do about 1k. Bleed ticks do about 2k also against high-hp monsters like giants and dragons; way more vs SGs. So a turn seems to generate about 2k main, 1k off, 1k off dark, 2k x4 domino or 12k, then 2k bleed x number of opponents each time they take a turn (up to 20k/t). And FRD itself hits pretty hard, but I forgot to make note of how much it is doing for me.

This feels like way, way more DPS than 1h+heavy style, without all that much loss of durability. I could see some heavier reliance on SoL/SS not unlike a mage, and I'm sure higher difficulties will resist the stun from FRD more often and thus sneak way more damage in on top of hitting much harder. But as long as survival isn't too much of an issue, this can clear stuff pretty fast. I think I'll invest lightly into the gear and let prof build up some, and see how it looks once it compares a bit closer to my main persona.

Does anyone have a hard stat on the cast time of Arcane Focus? The wiki says it is .1 which is on par with other supportive skills but i noticed that i can get a full buff rotation off (excluding Arcane) without taking massive damage but if i cast Arcane Focus first every monster will take an action.

Wiki is deadly wrong in this case. Casting heartseeker has caused the majority of my deaths. The action time is 2+ turns I believe. I presume arcane focus may be the same.

I'd like to offer a lil' extra to low level players: I IW their purchase for a little extra price. Without spending amnesia shards. That should greatly help them getting a good weapon.

I see in the WTS 9c per PXP or 10c per PXP. Then HV toolbox will do the maths for you.
