As for forth-fifth IAs - it depends on build only. 1H/Heavy don't need them, mage do. I am 1H/Heavy, but I still bought them just because I had free money and had nothing better to do (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

small fix: every other style apart for 1H heavy can use them, not strictly limited to mage.

Of course. I just told about 1H/Heavy and mage as two examples (and most popular builds) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

IA1 is almost needed though. If you get hit for 15K at 250-300, you want to be able to rely on your Spark proc; having to recast it manually leaves you potentially open for another instakill, which just drains you further (MP/SP). The argument could be made for IA2, but at the very least IA1 Spark is highly recommended. Double drain reduction on IA2 is nice though (assuming it's 10 to 20, from memory).

Actually there is another major issue with SoL: when you cast it manually you consume mana worth for dozens, if not hundreds of turns. If it gets triggered quickly after being cast, you've wasted a lot of mana for nothing. Even if there was no mana cost reduction coming with IA1, you'd still save mana for that reason.

How much time do you guys need to clear that arena with 1H?

My stats are:
~1,600 turns
~9:45 min
~2,8 tps

I cleared for the first time T&T with 1H. It took me 11:30 min, 2:20 min more than when I do it with my favorite style. Is it too slow?

It is better to use "turns" measure, not "time", because all we have different bandwidth here, or at least report your "tps" too (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
In my opinion, 11:30 - is a good time. I don't think I ever managed to finish T&T that fast on your level (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

What are the best IAs for a DW/Light build?
I use spirit shield, haste and protection. Just noticed that we can put in Spark of life too.
I do not even remember SoL being an option, is it a newer addidtion?

it depends since when. not for the last year or so.

either way, it depends on the number of IAs you already have.

as a rule of thumb, Protection always has the least priority. the other ones are pretty much all needed. SoL may be worth it since it autorecasts immediately, but if you don't have too much survivability issues you may want to skip it. your call.

Well, survivability is an issue, and I hate having to use SoL for it's mana cost. Thanks for the tip that protection has the lowest priority, I'll switch it out rn. Also, is it too much game breaking to have regen on IA too?

Spark, Shadow Veil and Haste. I don't use spirt shield (but I only use DW for SG arenas...)

No, seriously, they all good (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Protection is lowest priority because its duration is longest among all buffs - so we can assume that re-casting expired Protection is not that big problem.
My calls are: Spark of Life, Shadow Veil & Haste. Spirit Shield, imho, least important of four (but still!)

QUOTE(yrch @ Oct 19 2017, 18:37) *

You can auto-cast it since 27 December 2011‎ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Two possible explanations here:
1. Either you just missed that spell (most likely);
2. Or you haven't opened that spell when you configure IA (least likely);

Yes, it is - it is like making life of bot-keepers easier (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Curious if anyone knows.

What would be the block % of a LV500 player with Force Shield and set of 5 Shielding Plates, all Peerless or Lmax blocking %, Block on everything upgraded to 50, while the player himself has 550 Proficiency with 1H?

I have summed up shielding equipment and shield in sssss2's signature and received 77.30%

However, his equipment is not all peerless and not maxed out, so I think 78% block is very likely.

As long as you heal yourself immediately afterward, it's impossible to die after sparking, due to cloak of the fallen. So the time to recast spark is not a big deal. However great point about saving mana with spark. Perhaps IA1 is worth it after all, but only if you spark regularly.

Scremaz, well on Firefox I get 0.7 turns/second max while I think Chrome may give me over 2 turns/second, but that's on a different PC and windows version. So not sure on that yet. After I get strong enough that I need higher speed, I may install Chrome on this PC to verify.

(At present I only move at 0.3 turns/second anyway due to struggling for my life with a rusty DW build. It is getting better though as my proficiencies recover, and I also adjusted my tactics to include spurts of spirit stance to compensate for the lower damage).
