Increase something else instead. My 1H and 2H profs are capped, and my shield is... let's see... .04 below the cap, so I use the Montage to increase DW. Keeps my options open.

The problem is you are penalized for low prof on your weapons/armor. My shield is below my level/2, so it hurts me to use a shield. You have to remember some of us were already high level when equip became available.

The fun is gone.

With all of the nerfing lately, I am left playing for EXP and potions. This last week, whether I play 100s of rounds of Cake Fest, and average of 17 rounds of NormalFest, 7 rounds of HardfFest, or the first five arenas, all I ever get are potions, except once every other day I get an Infusion or minor scroll.

If a week like this was your desired intent, I feel it was going too far. Battling in GrindFest, Hourlies, and Arenas just for EXP and potions is just too boring. (Trust me, I just spent a week doing it.) Having just Leveled-up after Dawn and a ruin through the Arenas I don't overly fear losing Credits, I felt no joying in Leveling-Up, and no real desire to try for Level 65 or otherwise continue to mindlessly grind for basically nothing. While I have mindlessly grinded in other RPGs at the beginning to quickly level up a few times before starting the story, here this is no adventure to finally head off to, and the only end is to walk away.

I do have one last question: If I get a "You have encountered a monster" banner and just ignore it, will not fighting the hourly battle interfere with the daily Dawn banner?

@Alpha: when you tried normal grindfest, did you use good items? Like, I agree with you that currently the drops leave a little something to be desired, especially given the rate of healing/blood tokens, but you're finding some decent potions and draughts on cake, you might try using those to last longer on normal?

@Tenb: If I remember correctly, there was a limit on how many monster skills could be used against us each turn, and I thought that number was two. Do I have the number wrong or has it changed?

I know the feeling. What I found fun was the equipment hunting and training. But with the lowering of prices of equips, less people were willing to sell leftovers because they think it's worth more, and now with the lowering of credits, a person's average wealth decreases and equips are seen as even more precious. Training now takes very long with the credit nerfs.

Is it possible that maybe we could increase the drop rate on minibosses, bosses and legendaries?

and I know this goes counter to burn the credit, kill the credit, purge the credit philosophy, but a lot of the fun of collection based rpg's is collecting. Consider drastically increasing the drop rate and cutting the credit value of items by the same amount. 4x the drop rate and 1/4 the sell price would keep the credit level balanced but really, the fun of games like diablo and borderlands is seeing creatures, especially minibosses and up, pop in multicolored explosions of glorious items. And then sorting them and comparing them and trading them to optimize your character to be more better.

In the current situation to find a mid-boss is a waste of time because you do not get anything to the challenge. Could have a bonus in these monsters.

On normal and hard, I use all 6 items, 2 average mana, 2 greater mana, and 2 greater health, and I still get nothing but, a better grade of pots. Also, you need more item slots. Lots more.

EDIT: Cakefest is extremely boring. The only way I get through it is using a 2hand longsword with bleed. Watching 5-9 mobs die of bleed all at the same time is the only thing that keeps me going. That and elixirs. Speak of the devil I just found another.

I honestly have yet to see how far I can go on normal grindfest since the recent changes. I'll probably try later today. Maybe with my new club. That'll probably not end well, but lolz anyway.

I realize that but, my survivability on Normal, using all my Items, full Plate, and my bleeding longsword, just don't get me far enough to reach the Special Drop range.

Equipment is part of teh Special drop range. Before the nerfing of the quality bonus I was getting maybe 3 Equipment every two days, mostly from Arena. When he moved Elixirs to Special, they suddenly replaced my Equipment drops. I went from 1 Elixir in nearly 6 months of play to something like 12 Elixirs plus only 3 Equipment. With the latest change, even they have disappeared. Honestly with both being below Level 70, having Interference so high that Focus fails most times, and my poor survivability above Cake, the Elixirs are a wasted drop as I cannot compete in a battle were they would be useful, like high Arenas, or the Ring of Blood. Of course, only getting a 8% Token bonus drop from Arenas, and then only Healing, I couldn't try the RoB, even if I wanted.

That's easy to say but, the first one is 25,000 Credits and is well out of my price range. I can only afford a few thousand credits a day and that mostly comes from my Gold Star or selling a few HatH. I just adopted a slot so, I might be able to sell enough HatH and convert GP from it to get 2-3 Item slots, but even that would likely buy me only 5 more rounds (if that) and only slightly better pot drops. I can go quite awhile before using my first potion but, then I quickly burn through them.

When not caking (so, for normal grindfestt), you might try some combo of heavy plate and other. Simply put you're probably getting hit 2 times per turn by several monsters quite often; heavy plate is heavy. Correct me if I'm wrong.

My burden is like 85, and my Interference is 101. That's with level 64 and Heavy prof at 60. If I switch out the plate, I start getting eaten up much earlier and my survivability plunges even more.

Then why did my usual Equipment drops suddenly become Elixirs at a rate of 4 Elixirs per Equipment when he moved Elixirs to Special?

I just checked and 4 Item Slots cost 200,000 Credits. I've never had more than an eighth of that at any one time (and that was from a donation). That's about 6 months worth of Gold Star HatH. That's a major investment in HatH for something that'll only buy me a few more rounds, and if I try to go against Bosses or higher, I'd need those slots for the special Items to fight the Boss, so, I'd still end up dead several rounds before ever approaching the Final Boss Round.

What the hell happened to the exp bonus for beating Legendaries? My final round of Twisted Plots netted me half the normal amount of exp. When did this happen and how soon can it be changed back??
