I've gotta say that bleed has been sorely hit by the new turn rules. When you're fighting 9 mobs on grindfest, and say 6 of them die from bleed (quite possible with my 2h weapon, thank you marcho <3), that's 6 extra attacks I just took. Consider that happening every single round of grindfest, and that's a lot of 'last laugh' attacks to go around.

Also, Tenb, you said that spirit attacks for monsters are like their skills but with soul type damage (and in the case of bosses, a shitton more powerful). So why is Manbearpig still doing fire damage from global warming? I get the whole global warming = fire thing, but it's a spirit attack and should thus be doing soul damage according to what you said earlier (unless I misunderstood).

Are you sure Global Warming is its Spirit Attack and not its magic attack?

Well, the bestiary says it, and I'll admit super serial does soul damage, but...

2 5 Super Serial hits you for 601 soul damage.
2 4 Manbearpig uses Super Serial

Well the damage numbers definitely don't agree with the wording. Magic is usually "cast", and Spirit Attacks are "used". You'll have to check his Spirit bar the next time he uses one of them. Which ever one leaves it with an empty Spirit bar is the winner.

There are both physical and magical spirit attacks for monsters (remember, they're like monster skills except with soul dmg type). Ambergris Alert is magical, Om Nom Nom is physical.

You'd need to grind away over a long period of time to even have a chance to hit the limit. While the cut-off point for battle starts is 100 and decreasing by one per hour, the battle round limit is set at 10000 and decreasing by one every three minutes.

Dunno. They do whatever damage type I tell them to do, while most are soul there's nothing stopping me from setting it to something else.

if you have bleeds on 4-5 guys you can always defend so they die and do little damage to you.

I'd considered that, but on grindfest it's usually 8-9 mobs per round, and if 4-5 are bleeding there are still another 4-5 waiting for me to make them bleed, and 9 monsters hitting you at once hurts, even with defend. On arenas, the problem comes in the form of mini-bosses, which take quite a few more hits than regular mobs, and I swear the canuck and hedgehog hit for huge amounts even with defend, especially if they use their skills (which defend gives them plenty of time to build up for).

It was only a "printing error" if somehow the order stuff happened in with regards to the log was buffered somewhere, but as it is, it prints stuff as it happens. And what you asked for was to have stuff not expire at the start of the turn. Which happens to be a part of the same subsystem that calculates HoTs and DoTs. Ah... I did ask for that didn't I... I wasn't the only one! Wait, it was weird having focus say it ended at the beginning of the turn where it would've taken effect, so that made sense to change. I guess I don't know enough about the internals to understand why you couldn't have changed it without killing bleed (no pun intended).

Who needs strategies when you're level 250 and have awesome prismy armor of superior awesomeness? Also, not much strategy to be had from the simple idea "oh fuck, can't let spirit attacks hit me". That's pretty constant among the bosses, legendary and elemental spirit attacks or not (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Also... shit. Forgot what I was gonna say... probably something about evil canucks and hedgehogs doing massive damage. Probably also something about raising the credit cap a bit. 3,000 is a lot a lot (double on purpose) smaller than 80,000. But come on, 2-3 credits per round? At least let mini-bosses count as rare mobs, or make them somewhere in between. As it is, on grindfest I'm averaging less than 1C per mob. That's a bit extreme, no?

Sure it is. But those spirit attacks don't actually work quite like I want them to, so you'll probably see something there at some point.
