Taking commissions from the Surugaya site today and might order either this or next Sunday. May be the last commission I take for the year 2019.

A whopping $680 spent for everything you see here:

FINALLY I've scanned every fucking book from that order above and my Melonbooks + commissions order from October! Three whole weeks of hard work!

Now, to start phase 2: cleaning all 85 doujins of them...

Cleaning is 90% done, just the commissioned books are left. I should upload all 84 doujins over the weekend.

I don't know if anyone has this problem with ordering overseas recently; my latest one shipped out in Japan Saturday, arrived in the U.S and came to and from Customs on Tuesday, and is now lying in a distribution center.

IT'S BEEN THREE DAYS AND I'M STILL WAITING FROM THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER TO SHIP MY SHIT OUT TO MY HOUSE.

Time to prepare new list for C97. Although not so sure about the delay on Melon, half the stuff could be sold out by then.

I've decided to buy a new scanner! It's not the EPSON v600 that I really wanted and missed so badly. It's a Plustek OpticSilm 2680h from Amazon....hopefully the scanner comes in one piece instead of parts you'll have to assemble cuz that will shit severly.

I am taking Melonbooks commissions now and will finalize orders on Feb 1st. For those of you that will forget reading any info on the front page, the money is for books first, then wait a few days or weeks, and then money for overseas shipping second once a forwarding service gets them.

Since everyone's socially isolated (or stuck at home) for the next n number of months implying half of humanity isn't dead, or the fact hundreds of thousands will be without paychecks or work (mine being one of them and will miss about three checks this AND next month), I have nothing to do besides maybe FINALLY catching up to my large backlog of tanks.

So, I'm taking commissions for Melonbooks and Toranoana (ordering at the 31st), DLSite (anytime, although it'll take 1 business day from paypal-to-bank), and Suruga-ya (April, date TBD).

Only other @home jobs I can do would be Blogger work, Wordpress work although I started WP in 2017 so there might be some things I haven't learned yet, .css template editing, forum sigs, and non-Excel/Access data entry.

I've decided to add Getchu (not the DL version) since it has a lot of mooks, most of them you can't find in MB or Toro at all.

When in April are you going to place an order on Surugaya?

Depends on when I get this $1200 income check.

So, some news:

- Maybe it's me, or there isn't a huge backlog of C98 stuff in MB and Toro than I thought, especially since there's one week left before C98. Maybe it's due to covid-19, maybe it's due to trying to rush down before the Olympics, but if there's not a huge catalog by the 1st week of May, I may have to delay buying C98 stuff until June.

Which brings me to my next thing...

Suruga-ya orders!! I'm already planning on May to start shopping and order on the 3rd. If you're doing commissions, now would be a good time to start making your list. I'll take payment on the 1st and 2nd and start ordering on the 3rd.

And now, some sad news...

Japan Post Service will temporarily suspend Air and EMS shipments to the U.S. Only boat shipping will happen. As a person living in the U.S, this is bullshit. Luckily DHL shipping is still happening, but the only ones I know is AOCS but they only do Toranoana, and vv.Japan which you can only do 20 items per order, therefore jacking up taxes and commission fees for each one. If there's any other deputy service that uses DHL and has no problem shipping nsfw stuff PLEASE POST HERE!!

I should add that from what I learned from my proxy, DHL will cost 2-4x more than EMS. Oddly enough, Mandarake seems pretty much their usual fees on regular orders, so that's interesting.

Dunno, for some reason everytime I use AOCS for DHL, it's cheaper one time, expensive the next, so who knows...

I went through my usual tags and theres almost nothing new to buy atm. Since the C98 was pretty much cancelled (and Olympics too) I guess creators didnt rush that much with new books, and even if they did draw them they probably wont sell them and put it to drawer to save time for the next thing.

I'm taking Toranoana commissions right now and ordering them midnight tonight. I already have 1 commission ready to go, now would be a good time to not pass this up!

Because EMS is still unavailable in Japan until JP lifts up the ban, all orderes will be shipped via DHL, which is more expensive (for small orders, it seems cheaper for large or group orders) but 2.5-3 days worth waiting from Japan to me instead of EMS which takes 4-5 days.
