So, within a day or so of Hentai@Home hitting the big 1.0, we've finally broken the 1 Gbit/s barrier for the network capacity as a whole. We've been closing in on this barrier for a while now, but with the signups and tweaks that 1.0 brought, we've finally passed it.

To put it in other terms, H@H is now capable of transferring 125 megabytes of images every second. Considering that actually paying for this bandwidth would set us back somewhere in the arena of US$ 4-5000 a MONTH, it's a very significant factor of why this site can still remain free and open for everyone.

Even through we usually (well, once so far) have these award ceremonies at the end of the year, I've created a special award to commemorate hitting these two milestones in such a short succession. It's not much, but it should be a badge of honor for those who have contributed the most time and bandwidth since H@H was first released.

But enough talk. Everyone who currently place in the Top#100 on either the H@H All-Time Toplist or the H@H 2009 Toplist should now have received the Golden @. Except for sitting there and looking like this was something I threw together in half an hour, which is a dirty lie, this badge will give you a permanent +25% bonus to gained EXP (stacking as an aura).

Just for the record, and to avoid having it on the front page, I'm going to post a full list of everyone who received one after the break.

you overestimate how long it looks like you spent making the new award. Not that I'm ungrateful, but it DOES look like something you made in 5 minutes...

If someone wants to make a shinier one, go ahead. Just make sure it's 25x25 and alpha-blended PNG.

And yeah, I probably didn't spend 5 minutes on it, but with actually coding the reward and writing the script to award it, it probably was a good 30 minutes.

I was going to make a joke award with a golden colored anus, but unfortunately I can't figure out a good way to add a metallic shine to a picture of an anus.

Just boost the brightness levels on it a little bit and see what that does. But it's a nice award and very much appreciated.
