Non ethereal, it has a huge burden that would hinder greatly your Niten set, especially if you experiment with a Heavy set...you cannot even feather it because it has just too much, Ethereal is pretty much mandatory for 2H weapons.

An ADB 99% balance rapier from the bazaar.

Not exactly superlative, DEX isn't great and Crit Chance is just average.
Something like this is better balanced.

DEX before Parry. And probably ADB too
Crit Chance > DEX >> ADB >= Parry > STR for Balance weapons.

Why people sold everything in the bazaar?

People even sell 80-90%+ Ethereal ones to bazaar, non ethereal is just junk fodder, especially if level 500 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I myself won't buy any non-ethereal heavy weapon despite peerless

The reasoning is valid for some stuff, not universally.
For 1H you would DREAD ethereal weapons, because you want the sweet sweet 70 burden, with an ethereal one you will probably have between 56 and 62 that is just too little.
Wakizashis can be elemental especially if they're Arctic/Demonic/Hallowed, their burden is very low and can be nullified with feathers.
Same can go with DW rapiers.
Axes, Shortswords and Clubs yeah, if you don't use them for 1h, you want them ethereal.

Great Parry and quite decent PABs, not the greatest ADB but I guess it is really Parry (or Crit Chance, depending on a defensive or offensive strategy) one is looking for in a Waki anyway. Good find.

I always check the Bazaar and so far found these three. I think they are trash to 500 level players but for me, I think they will be useful. Here is the pros and cons of these equips.

Pros:
1. Soulbound it at 400 level and I can use it earlier
2. If I want to buy a similar tradable one from others, it may cost me 500k (the last armor) and the level will be fixed while soulbound it will make sure it's always at my level, giving best stats.
3. save my time of searching a similar one
4. double EXP for IW

Cons:
1. Waste a ton of Soul fragment, which is not easy to obtain in short time period.
2. Cannot sell, everything invested on them will sink and never get them back.
3. Cannot pay and ask other people to do the IW/upgrade for me, have to do it myself.

Could anyone correct me if my procs and cons analysis on these equips are incorrect or provide more pros and cons that I missed or did not realize now. Thanks.

Savage Balance might be useful if you play DW/Niten+Heavy

Anything else except Slaughter should not be ideal when you're already Lv.400

Someone must be overlook...

Nothing super ultra special, but Magnificent Ethereal Rapier of Slaughter. Was level 155 until I soulfused it just now. I like rapiers for no real reason, and already had an exquisite ethereal one, so now I'm dual-wielding them.

My exquisite one actually deals more damage, strangely (both are upgraded to level 5 damage bonuses), but I think I did some item world stuff on the exquisite so that might have something to do with it.

Your mag compared to known min-max legendary ranges is -63%, the exq -59%. But considering its 3 pabs, has far better parry, and ethereal is a nice bonus pre IW10 (and continues being desirable after IW10 if you dual wield it), it's not a bad find for the level. It's miles better than the exq one.

Thanks for the stat crunching. Yeah; I am dual-wielding it and my exquisite. Is there some tool/script you used to do the numbers? Or did you just go through the tables manually on the wiki?

Edit once again: found the base stat in mouseover text. duh.

I don't mind that these are sub-par examples too much… I was glad to see the three bonuses and pretty much all other stats being better.

Might also DW it with this shortsword, but I'm a big fan of void strike and not the biggest fan of burden/interference.
I forget if I got that shortsword from a snowflake stocking stuffer or if it was from bazaar, but it was one of the two.

What about IW10 makes Ethereal worse/less desirable? What should I be using alongside it after IW10? (I do plan on dual-wielding, since that's pretty much what I've always done, but either way I'm interested to know).

Ah, it becomes sort of an elemental weapon at that point? So I guess the main benefit from then out is just that it doesn't have burden.
And from then on out weapons with a different prefixes get void strike (but keep their burden). is that correct? So should I then plan to get one hollowforged weapon (probably the shortsword I linked earlier in this post) as well?

I think my only other magn. one-handed weaponry apart from the shortsword with a different prefix is a fiery rapier of the banshee and also this axe. IDK if I want to do niten ichiryu, but I don't have any good weaponry for that either (only an estoc or two which aren't usable for that style).
