QUOTE(Juggernaut Santa)

The relevant one pushes down the rest.
For the longsword, I agreed with Santa's assessment. At the same time, I also agreed with Arkonius' appreciation for very high in all side stats and think it was a decent buy, especially if it is going to be used (even briefly). If nothing else, I think it makes such a weapon look impressive and the 45% adb is not so bad as to ruin its appearance, to me.
Functionally, the 45% adb drags down its performance, but it's not so low that it's useless for testing or trial purposes.
I partially analyzed this
mathematically last year. The most important offensive side rolls like crit chance and ailment chance may actually be 1/3rd as important as the adb roll. Useful things like str and dex might be 1/20 to 1/10 as important as the adb roll.
We can approximately reduce the overall performance of that longsword to a single number. The math is roughly 45% + 30% (top roll crit) + 30% (top roll bleeding) + 5% (top roll str) + 5% (top roll dex) ≈
115% quality. If you believe my breakdown, this means that longsword could be better than a 100% adb longsword with shit min roll in all other stats.
Meanwhile, a 100% adb longsword with average roll in the other stats (most importantly the crit and proc chance) would score
135%. I say 115%/135% is respectably close, thus a decent purchase.
I had plans since long ago to refine (exactly) and formalize this method of calculation into a tool, and I wouldn't be surprised if people actually adopted its usage, but I have held off on finalizing this for various reasons.
edit: I hate when I edit instead of making an new post by accident, especially in the bazaar thread!
