/agreed And if you use an infusion against a resistant monster your dmg gets gimped hard, so that pretty much makes them useless normal hit verse firefox 650ish fire infusion 150-200, I did hit slightly harder on the other guys non-resistant, and non-weak, like 700-800 dmg. Should add +10-50% (whatever end up seeming fair) bonus elemental damage for the standard infusions rather than replacing the physical damage.

Think the best way to do it would be to have it add a proc that way it would get physical + whatever so at least your not gonna gimp yourself verse resistant monsters.

Worse is to buy a new mountain of equipment to get resistance, many credits are lost. There is no way to add and balance in all light armor from players that defense?

I tried a different layout to try to counter the epic critter damage I think (?) I've been taking since the patch
Overall chance of getting hit: 27.83%
still get my ass kicked though heh.

Battle Buddy stats aren't accurate anymore, so don't take that number at face value if that's where you got that statistic from.

nah, doing more on some and less on others is just fine. keep in mind that while you do less on the firefox the firefox also does less on you. just kill them last or ignore them.

Unless elemental weapon attacks are seriously gimped, playing a straight mage is pointless. Maybe the monsters strong in that element would heal by the amount of elemental damage but be hurt by the amount of physical? You don't get win-win, but at least they aren't immune.

Basically all stat logging except item drops got hosed, as well as mob info and round number. The battle log gets cut off after a certain point now, so any actions that occur past that point are no longer seen by BB for logging purposes.

I also notice an increase in difficulty. Before, I can easily reach round 20 of Cakefest. Now, I can barely reach a pitiful round 10.

Hmm, my last two cakefests have netted me 6 drops each. I usually make it to around level 23, though I only made it to 11 on the first one (testing mage skills). Will have to grind some more to come up with an average. I have a 7 pts in scavenger and 3 in LoD.
I keep getting gangraped in the Arena. Adjusting my difficulty as necessary. Monsters are still hitting harder and dodging more for me. I was DW and now I'm training up my 2H and staff. Staves will get boosted one day...
On the bright side, grindfest gives more credits and for that I am grateful. Used an infusion and found that effect pretty nifty. I don't know if it warrants a slot, but it's interesting.
Feeling less butthurt, but mildly concerned.
Edited to add: Made it to Round 23 w/ 7 item drops. Am seeing a lot more second winds. Am still getting sodomized, but at least 0.3.8 brought some lube.

Awesome update Tenboro. Thanks a lot! You definitely added some light to the darkness of 0.3.7.
Suggestion: Could you make the maximum level of monsters that you fight in mobs = (Character Level) - 2?
That would probably solve a lot of the problems people have with taking too much damage.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but that would probably make the game too easy. Now, if that was the effect of a difficulty setting, that'd be one thing. But it'd be below Cake. Like... SubCake or Crumb. And you'd never, ever get any drops. And Tentacle Monsters would randomly get super-horny, turn on the mobs, and rape them out of existence. And you'd still get credits for it, but really, who wants them that way? ....okay, I'd still take them, but I wouldn't like it. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Good grief, man, I'm using only cloth armor and I don't think I'm taking too much damage.
The damage bonus is turning out to be pretty nice! If 0.3.7 made me more glass, at least 0.3.8 made me more cannon.

Has Luck of the Draw been made less effective from 0.3.7 and 0.3.8? I want to make sure my investment hasn't been in vein, as it seems Scavenger might be a bit better (max scavenger = double drop rate).

Tenboro, please make it so we can see what round we're in during our arena battles somewhere over to the side or up at the top of the page. And the name of the challenge we're in would be nice, too. I've asked this before and it's kinda important now that the log cuts off.
